I thought that as well and emailed them. They said it was correct and that they are looking at updating the site to make it clearer that VAT is not included.

Disgraceful is quite a strong word.. We were in no way attempting to pull the wool over anyone's eyes..

Unfortunately the websites software does not want to play ball and add VAT to the tottal price of the product. Instead adding it at the first stages of checkout.

We have since removed the VAT until the problem has been resolved.

There are going to be price increases unfortunately, the main reason and the driving force behind this desision is to fund the costs of testing batches of our Eliquid.. It's something that most consumers want and unfortunately it's not free.

I will add that the price increases will primarily aimed at our vermillion river range.. And not hardware.

I also forgot to mention this is a recent change and has not been on previous orders anyone had made.

The only time that we have to pay sales tax, is when the seller has a physical presence in the state that we are ordering from, or where it will be delivered to.

The sales tax is not figured in the price, but is added after we order, along with the shipping cost.

Thank you for clarifying the position Ben, as you can understand our member's were quite naturally concerned at the addition of VAT on some of their purchases at checkout.

I'm not au fait with the legalities of all this, but if you added a note on the products that VAT would be added on at Checkout . . . This item price does not include VAT . . . would that be legal until you resolve the software?

Price increases are indeed inevitable if you have to pay for batch testing of juice, I'd hope that your customer's would appreciate the measures you're taking to ensure the products they purchase from you are safe.

I would add IMO that the issue of not displaying VAT inclusive prices
is entirely unconnected to price rises due to batch testing.

That was aimed at a post that was unhappy to see there favourite juice rise in price

Fair enough - I'm not slighting your intent either,
I'm sure it's a headache meeting the expectations
of customers in different territories, just as a UK
customer I would expect the price I see to be the
one I paid, and extras like P+P to be clearly displayed.

I don't think so, Perpy - the law says that prices including VAT MUST be displayed

All prices shown on the site now include VAT.
