This is a whole new world to me so any advice will be appreciated. I bought one of these... www.fasttech.com/products/1696602 just as an experiment and for testing samples. It's cheap and cheerful but the drip tip broke early on and the grub screws are a pain. I used 2mm silica wick on a premade coil... www.fasttech.com/products/1611705So 2 questions... 1 - What would you recommend for a better model for everyday use. 2 - Can I fill the well with silica to hold more liquid or is there a limit to the amount of wick you can use.

Get an Igo L and use organic cotton instead of silica wick. Works a treat.

Definitely. Simple and works, plus holds a good 10 drips.

The igo's are good and that gaia that tom shows looks like it ticks all the boxes. I use a trident and cats atm but wasn't impressed with how tight the trident all fits together, so i am going to get another from fastech as they are so cheap. Maybe that gaia Whichever you decide on make sure it has good airflow adjustment so you can set it just how you like, and try using a microcoil wicked with cotton as the taste is much cleaner.

hijack Don't give up on the Trident clone - it's really quite a good beastie. It loosens up over time (make sure you don't try and put the sleeve on upsidedown - it can be done, just, sort of, but you'll need marigolds to separate it. VG on the o'rings (perhaps replace them)... Mine remains my second favourite RDA (the Gaia is a joint first with the simple micro dripped from C9V - I use that one to test juices). Ha - on my desk I have a Lotus RDA which I've still not use (or even cleaned out the machine oil) - that may be even better....

tomj777 Ive not given up on the trident, I am using it as I write, with some cantaloupe melon I took off an o'ring on each of the double o'ring seals so it does come apart now withount me loosing my fingernails. Ill look in wilco's and see if I can get thinner ones for it.

hijack my we trident loosens up as it warms up too. Difficult to get apart when not on a battery but quite OK on one. I wouldn't hold a mod by the sleeve that's for sure. Ruffie

One arrived in the post today, the finish could be better on the air holes but look like will do the trick. I have cleaned it up and it fits together nicely, has a nice deep well and I particularly like that the negative posts are cut from the same lump of stainless steel as the body. I'm not a dripper so don't know when I will get round to using it.

The tobh is an AWESOME atty, you can get them over here for around £12 or so too. Only down side for some is it's dual coil device, no option for singles on it. Still, it's a total cloud chucker.

I am yet to use a Tobh (it's on my wish list), but looking at pics I see 3 posts in a line, can't see any reason why you couldn't run that single coil (may need to cover an air hole)... or dual, or quad for that matter!!? Need to get myself one to have a play with!!!
