I've not had one puff either Ragjoy. Started with the ecig on 2nd. February this year. Last puff of a real cigarette on the same morning (before the ecig arrived).
Oh, and that nasty taste at the back of my mouth has gone now too.

Ragjoy, I occasionally try taking a drag of a real cig, although usually I have had a few drinks, but it tastes vile. I think sometime I need to remind myself of what I have stopped doing! The other thing is that I still love the smell of a freshly lit cigarette and that tempts me. I can't see myself ever going back to smoking and although I don't want a ban on the juice, I cannot for one minute imagine that a ban will stop me vaping - there will always be a way to get hold of it.
My partner gave up smoking using Champix, but he is smoking again and I hate the smell on his breath, although he doesn't smoke as much as before, I think it is only a matter of time before he is.

Well, as you know, I do both In some cases I have felt an "outsider" in both camps Some smokers get prickly about my vaping & some vapers aren't so friendly 'cause I still also smoke! For me, it's just as much a life saver as it is to any 100% vaper. It means I've cut 50% of the damage tobacco does, out of my life. With serious health issues, this is priceless. I hope, gradually, over time, to increase vaping & reduce smoking more, but I know, for me, the way forward is slowly & gradually. Putting yourself under unnecessary pressure in a stressful life ain't a good idea. NOTHING else has worked for me & I've tried ALL the quit-smoking stuff out there. I would love to be satisfied with full time vaping, I'm hopeful eventually that will happen.

Oh, Lolli and Chrissie, So sorry if I come across as holier-than-thou; this is not intentional. I am not at all for one or the other. I was so ill after Christmas with the worst cold and cough that I've ever had, and also very mindful that my 18 month old grandaughter would soon be aware of what I was doing. And I was so sick to death of being made to feel like a second class citizen by the rest of society that I decided it's now or never and I really must try to quit smoking. And I am just gobsmacked that I appear to have quit, and it is all down to the ecig and this forum. Now I'm going to stop before I make everyone sick....

I have moments when I really crave a cigarette.... I've had the very occasional puff and hated the taste of it and have so far not pushed it. However, I love the smell of someone else's cigarette, and two of my most enjoyable vaping experiences have been when I met up with Lolli. The combination of great company, fresh air, vaping and cigarette smoke is unbeatable.. Lynda

No Raggy, it didn't come across smug at all Honestly, what are you lot like eh? You have all struggled so much in the past to either cut down or give up. So you should all be dam proud of yourselves about how well you are doing - & shout from the roof tops about your success as much as you all want to.

Thought I had posted in here but cant see my post OH well screwed it up again me thinks.... What I had said was that I stopped smoking over 3 years ago but when I go to Vegas there's nothing better than sitting at the pool at night with a cocktail and a good quality cigar ... even tho when I vape I only vape zero nic. January 9 since i had a tab. I've found it really easy. The early days were a bit frustrating, learning how E-cigs work, what can go wrong etc. But i do think a lot of it had to with me having bought sub-standard gear. There's just loads of great options out there now. It's never been easier I do go outside at work a couple off my tornado, there's always a few smokers around, and not a single time have i wanted a cigarette. I just think these are way better than smoking ever was for me. As long as I've got some kind of E-cig, I'll never smoke again. Though i'm still not sure how I'd react if someone took the E-cigs away...would i want a tab then?
