Sounds like we're in similar places, sleedale, as have that too. Wonderful innit? Wait until the combines & maize choppers come out, nights aren't so quiet then. lol

Time to invest in an incinerator then, or a bigger compost bin.

A few doors from where I live there is a family the parents cannot control their kids, so they are always shouting, screaming, and hitting their dog at all hours, so today while the weather was nice I decided to go outside and clean and oil my rifle after a fun weekend at English heritage's 'history live' event, so after I had cleaned it I oiled the bolt action and as you do cycled it a few times to make sure that all was working as intended, and it was then I noticed that it had suddenly gone quiet from the noisy neighbours, I think I may have scared them a bit

Fu**ing neighbours for the last 3 years its been bliss nice and quiet at the back of my garden is the back garden of a bungalow and the elderly lady I assume needed looking after so this couple move in and ever since then it sounds like ive got live Jeremy kyle shows, they shout, argue, swear they even put load CRAP music on and you can still hear the arguing, fighting etc and the stuff they argue about is stupid...... is there any need to be like this in open space for the whole neighbour hood to hear????? All the other neighbours are quiet except this 2 tits.
Rant over

Try living next door in a terraced house, to a young aspiring heavy metal drummer - who has a full drum kit in his bedroom clairea and practices daily. Sometimes 2/3 times a day during the school holidays. I can even hear the racket when I'm walking the dog over the field. The occasional noise of a mower going is almost a joy for me.

Sorry to hear that Perpetua , see you never knew you had such good neighbours before, did you? Couldn't life have worked out so differently. (Apologies... this will mean s*d all to most, but many years ago we lived about two cul-de-sacs away from each other, and wouldn't have known it if it wasn't for this forum).

Sorry to hear that Perpetua , see you never knew you had such good neighbours before, did you? O I did Raffles . . . unfortunately I had to move, as my Landlord wanted to sell the property. It's one of those things, at least I can get my car in and out of the garage here and not have my drive continuously blocked. No place is perfect . . . and unfortunately some people are just considerably less considerate than others.

My dog sitting friend lives opposite a lady who takes 2+ hours ( I kid not ) to cut a patch of grass that would take me 15 minutes max to do . . . 3 times a week. It does their head in . . . .
