I have just received my 2 Delrin Tanks from Billet Box in the USA.
Tanks cost $50. IE £30. P&P cost $7.55. IE £4.50. UK Customs charge £5.86. PO "Handling Charge" (?) £8. Total cost for 2 piddly little plastic tanks with a weight of 3.2oz, £48.36p!!!!
Me thinks that if anything goes wrong with these tanks in the future, I will be investing in a tube of Plastic Cement, as I will not be forking out again to the PO's or Customs Benevolent Funds.
Anyone else been charged for imported e-cig related goods?

pfft, you guys don't know your born! The "handling charge" here is over £18 and VAT is 25% which they also charge on the handling fee (which is just taking the micky) and the postage (which they aren't supposed to, but they do anyway ... because they can ) One poor chap got sent some free teeshirts from a company in America. Customs spent months making him work out how much they were worth, even though he hadn't paid a cent for them. Luckily Fasttech sells loads of things under the £8 limit (think it's £15 in the U.K.)

I don't mind the costs for things I need and calculating those costs, with P&P against the value I will get out of them. The costs of and item and its shipping costs are things I can understand and I can place a value against these.
But to be hit with extra costs that are nothing whatever to do with the item by both UK Customs and the Post Office is just beyond my comprehension.
Oh well, I guess I will have to make do with UK or EU items from here on in.

I've had import charges ordering ecig related stuff from the USA and also when ordering in quantity from China.
Its all part & parcel when ordering goods from outside the EU and its the responsibility of the consumer to inform customs of any goods that may be eligible for charges. If customs had been informed and the tax paid then I believe you would not have to pay the post office charges. I maybe wrong on that though.
Most of us get away with not paying import charges most of the time. So I personally I don't complain about it when I have too.

Received my third order last week from ePipeMods in Georgia, 3x30ml bottles of Shire Malt, free shipping for orders over $35, plus, to date, no extra charges. Always seems to sit for a week in Miami, but once left there it's with me within days. What's the betting I now get stung on the next order. I think it also depends on how imaginative the sender is on their description and value they put on the package.
