I have in the past ordered Nic PG & Nic VG and flavourings from the US of A and not been charged anything extra, despite the fact that these were bigger and heavier items, hence my shock at having to pay extra for such a piddly little envelope that just dropped through the letter box.

The envelope did have all the relevant customs information on it from the sender and both the VAT and the Post Office Handling Charge was made by Border Force HWDC. Whoever they may be.

Yup!! I got stumped with £5.95 VAT and £11 post office charge on two lousy BB tanks - it was 6 weeks ago and i'm STILL fuming! It made teh cost £50 to me, which is madness for two blocks of plastic. What further annoys me is that if customs actually opened parcel they would easily believe if the stated cost said 37 pence, they look nothing......

I've now worked out that the cheapest option is to buy them one at a time and pay the $7 post as under $30 dollars there no charge (they cant take postage into the pricing) so at the tank costs theres no VAT or PO charge

...except teh last 3 weeks I've put one in my basket on a Saturday and the only postal option i'm being given is now $47  How infuriating as I would like a few more tanks and i'm willing to pay $32 dollars delivered (which is just under £20 each) but there's NO cheaper postage option?!?!? I'm puzzled and peeved

I got hit recently for £43 customs charges for a Billet Box, then decided I couldn't get on with it and sold it for a loss on ebay. Parcel Force don't help matters when they charge £13.50 handling fee on top of the VAT.

Over the many years vaping been lucky not hit with any charges, but 99% from china where they little liberal with the customs declaration, seems most people get caught with stuff from USA, our friends across the pond bit more honest with declared prices.
If I need anything from the states, wait until someone i know going there and get it sent to their hotel, I done this for another member, when package arrived to heavy for luggage, so I posted it from states, cost £10, of course i did not know what he had paid so might have been slight error on declared value ????

The vast majority of stuff I've ordered from the US has attracted Customs charges lobeydosser . . . which I don't object to as such, the £8.00 ' processing ' charge for putting a card through my letter box is what gets my goat.

But once I've had a whinge at the PO on collection and got the goodies in my mitts, it's all forgotten.

This is the first time it has happened to me Perpetua and I suppose that now that I know it could happen, I will include this possibility in any future considerations as to the worth of anything that I may order stateside.
