A great picture there that explains the problem for anyone else having the same issue. Yes thanks for the explanation miniecig, I was still scratching my head wondering how the fault could have been the brass pin if the atty was firing when the wire was used. So it was down to the contact of the 510 insert after all. Has been good to see a vendor get involved across multiple forums to help see their customers happy. I'm not sure either but for me it was definitely the pin that made an instant difference. I mean instant. Fire. I have some anodising inside the 510 thread though. I suppose its possible that constant screwing/unscrewing forced the contact. I don't know...and I don't care

Mine is exactly the same potvmark but I cant face undoing the screws yet again to add a photo I think my thumbs need a week off rest to recover. I think I may look into how to remove that ring of anoxidation as I can see that my brass pin could reposition itself in time and issue may repeat itself? but its such an awkward spot I cant see how

I took that photo during one of the many disassembly/assembly frolics of Saturday. As long as it keeps on keeping on I'm leaving the bloody thing alone. PS I love it really

..... looks like my extender may become an ornament, i'd be far too scared to attempt jiggling that into place!

A testament to the hardness of the anodized finish: I tried to scratch off the finish where indicated but couldn't (at least with a knife). Anyway, relying on the half turn mentioned above to keep the Donkey from going wonky.
I've been using it all day today at work (shhh! Don't tell.) Love it.

Prefer it when it's dinky though, feels nicer in the hand Glad you got it fixed Pepperty I can imagine the frustration after such a long wait.

Must say its got a seriously tough exterior as when I electrocuted myself I overarm bowled it across the room, at least 8 foot I'd say? all it collected was dog hair! I'm still a bit suspicious about my 'fixing it' as it seems quite a weak toke? in comparison to the same spheroid on one of my 14500 batteries, now I have owned a microstick before and I recall thinking it had a decent kick on it .... but maybe I'm just still being overly gentle with it (besides the chucking across room part!) *edit* no I think its fine, I was just being too overly gentle. I used to wonder about why vapers would use a mech. mod, then I tried one and now I can see the bonuses for me, which are that I'm one of those people who doesnt have a steam engine suck! so I'm not a very powerful inhaler and take a very long drag naturally. With a regulated mod the cut off on me half way through taking a nice decent lung full - was really annoying! No such issues with my mechanical mods - and not much to break.....which is good news for me and my inherent clumsiness

I've glazed over the thread, literally...my eyes started to glaze trying to get the head around all the trouble you had. Will get Jack to read it when my microstick arrives because he's got a better attention span than I do. Just glad you got it fixed eventually and you're enjoying it now.

You know how much I love the microstick, its been the one i've been after for yonks! I did actually get my hands on one in the classifieds, was great timing as I was going away. I just took the MS and it did me so well all week. I wanted to use my small travel charger (my xstar mp2) and travel light - it was perfect. But as I had a new one on order I couldn't keep two ??? especially as my spheroid collection keeps growing, I seem to have ended up with 6 but two are combined to match finish - OK 5 on the go sounds OTT but I have two mods that use them and I like 3 tanks per mod, as you do! You can imagine how gutted I was to finally get a new one after selling on my 1st MS to find it wouldnt work - for days...and days....and days

I'm not going to mess around with scraping or sanding. The half turn trick works and this little guy vapes like a champ. If it ain't broke...

Microstick landed and worked initially, so I thought I'd swerved the problems here. 5 minutes later, it gave up on me. That was two weeks ago and I've been too busy since to worry about it. We finally got around to sorting the problem just now with the help of Pepperty's thread and it's back in action. Cheers all!

phew glad yours is up and working OK!! just remember to turn the connector half turn looser than fully tight and it seems to behave newdawn I have had to re-adjust once as I got a bit vigorous screwing in my spheroid but its easier than taking a file to your new baby!

Update on mine... Started to misfire again after a few days. Probably for the same reason as Pep's. So I put a small rubber o-ring under the connector and all is well.
