A bit of a crisis and need help!

I don't know what I am doing wrong today, but nothing is working correctly.
I've got fully charged battery. I put new attie in that arrived today, new cartridge, drip 7 drops into cart, a bit of the blue stuff (single layer), drop another two drops in and assemble. Drag....and lots of bubbling noises, worse then I've heard before. No hit, a bit of vape.

Take it all apart, change attie to LR from this morning, new cart with white clean filler and same again.

Am I overfilling? Are the atties too wet or too dry. How much noise should it make when dragging?

Previously I have found I get a good hit when it makes some noise but not major noise.

Please advise.

don't know about your equipment but in my experience with my equipment the boiling/ gurgling noise denotes too much liquid BUT I do drip rather than use the filler ....so not sure it is the same for with filler or you equipment but there you do

Kath...does sound like the attie is flooded....take it off, blow on the open end onto some tissue, then try it again...

it does sound like a bit of flooding but you should have juice in the mouth if its too flooded work.
blow out and try again, ive only used 2 LR attys but was told these do like to be a bit wetter than normal attys, it preserves the life of them.

Maybe you haven't used enough blue stuff Kath, so the juice is running too fast into the atties?

It should fill the cart, even if you just use it as a plug, it should still fill the top part of the cart?

Thanks for the advice, all. I've also done a bit more reading.

I went back to a white filler, and started from scratch. I think I did need more of the blue as it's not as dense and seems to not "hold" the juice as Lilac says.

I think it's a combination of things as well. I wasn't ever sure how far up the filler should be, but obviously it's got to be in contact with the attie mesh.

I remember yesterday having a really good day, and when I looked at the filler it had a little dark dent in the top, which I've just read means you've had a good session as there was just enough contact and enough juice to make it correct.

Oh, well, it's still early days in my adventure....the good news is, again, I haven't reached for the tobacco sticks! Only 3 of those today so far, so something is working, and I'm not climbing the walls as I would be (and have been) with patches.

Kath, what you are experiencing is sadly the bad side of vaping. It does sometimes take a bit of fiddling but after a while it becomes so easy. The very bets thing I invested in was a .............

Seriously, unbend a paper clip & it can be used to pull up cart filling, squish it down & even help to enable you to get more juice into a cartridge

Vaping can be so simple but other times it reminds me of how much my dad loved fiddling about with the pipes he smoked

ive been using blue foam for about a month now and id thought my sd mk1 was not giving me what i wanted,id thought the foam was great apart from the occasional mouthful.
anyway i thought i will go back and try white fluval again, the improvement is immense, i think you can get away with blue foam with LRs as it seems to burn off quicker and likes to be a bit wet.
but with normal attys im staying with fluval for awhile, for me its miles better all round.

I'll faff around a bit more in the morning, start all over again with a new attie, fresh battery, new cart etc.

Just was a bit miffed as it was all going so well. OH is still on his first attie and cart - BUT he is still smoking a LOT of fags!

Chrissie, I have some tweezers I got in my last order from James that I pull up and push down with! ;-)
