I think you might need to look at buying the LR atties Hanow. I agree about the ENjuice having great flavour, but I too find that only the strong tobacco or café tabac give me a noticeable throat hit. Yesterday I was vaping using 2 Riva batteries - one with the cone and a LR atty and one without but with a regular HR atty, and there was a huge difference. The other thing I would recommend to both yourself and Kath is to invest in a Gary Dibley passthrough www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=58. When plugged into your computer, portable power unit or a mains USB port, this is a high voltage (around 5v) reliable device that I find sorts out those days when nothing else works for me. It can be tough getting things to work well for you, but don't forget, you have taken a huge leap after years of smoking, and it may take a while to find the perfect combination that works for you.

The LF Dibleys were out of stock the last time I looked but now they have the 510 without adapters in stock. I've just ordered an adapter and realise I've ordered the one to use a 510 atty with 901 Screwdriver by mistake - I needed one to use 901 atties with 510 fitting on the Dibley Never mind, easy come, easy go I'm unbelievably late coming to this thread - great advice and chit-chat from all you lovely peeps. If I get a sizzly bubbling - rather a "sputtering" sound - it usually means a good strong vape, but it it's watery-sounding bubbling I have to burn off the atty by holding down the battery button. scylla

Scylla, email Abe @ LF & I'm sure he will amend your order for you.

I ordered the adapter from Strictly to bulk up the blue foam order for free shipping - LF don't have any 510Battery>901Atty adapters in stock. And the 510 atties are too dear to order when I have 901s and cartos here. I haven't actually placed the order for the Dibley PT because they've only got the one without adapters - unless you can tell me I'm not reading it right ??? scylla

Jaki - sorry I didn't get on to the forum yesterday and see your suggestion. Unexpected guests turned up - with 10 minutes notice - to stay for the day/night. Lovely to see them, but hate it when people do that - but sent me into headless chicken mode sorting food, wine, beer, etc. etc. But anyway, eventually a good time was had by all. But, going back to your advice re: atties - the letters you have used to describe them don't mean much to me at the minute - (Poop - can't see them now whilst writing - but something like LR v- HR). In that you know the Riva, assume that you already know that these fit, so where is the best place to get them? Returning to the subject of my unexpected guests - both are heavy smokers. It was going to be my first test being around real cigarettes. I was so pleased with myself - and had no desire to have a 'real' one, wasn't bothered by the smell, and that was going on whilst I was struggling with my vape version. Have awarded myself huge Brownie points for that. Another milestone in kicking the habit!

Buckowski - have just followed your advice re: filling carts etc. Great - thank you, much better by dribbling in cart first, and got a good fix with L and B (chez-James-Paradise), however still not having same success with the other flavours. Really am hoping that after his holiday, James can produce more flavours that impact in the same way as his L and B does. Pretty please James.

Sorry Hanow, I'll try to explain without causing further confusion, not that I am very technical and barely understand it myself!
LR stands for Low Resistance. It basically means that the less resistance an atomiser gives, the more energy will be drawn from the battery through the atomiser, providing a stronger vape with more vapour and a stronger throat hit. These turn vaping with a 3.7 battery (which you have now) into something that performs like a 5v battery
There are disadvantages (of course!). The LR atties are said not to last so long, or at least, the performance drops off quicker than the regular (HR, High Resistance) atties. They also drain the battery faster, although I am using them on my Riva and I still get 8 hours plus from them. You should not use them on a high voltage device as it will kill them pretty fast.
BUT, they provide a stronger and more satisfying vape and for me, this outweighs any disadvantages.
I hope that helps

for some one that is not technical and barely understands that is a fairly comprehensive explanation and very understandable:) James
