Ecomomical way of filling DC cartos.

Just wondering if anyone has an economical way of filling DC cartos.

I currently fill them using the condom method, ie: 3/4 fill the condom & slowly push the battery end down into the juice. However, if someone can tell me a better way, it would be most appreciated

I always top fill my carto's Hissie . . . leaving time for the juice to sink in . . . whether this works out to be an economical way I don't know, but I find it the easiest.

get a griz whiz from vapeescape, Best gadget yet for filling carto's plus they hardly need any soaking time when they're filled with it. It's great for emptying and cleaning carto's too

Do you just direct drip then perpy?

I have a Griz Whiz blakey, I use it to empty cartos, not sure how to use it to fill them.

Yep, I just drip some juice until it puddles on the top, let that soak in, then do it a couple more times again leaving it to soak in.

Give it a blow through, incase I've been a bit heavy handed and away I go Hissie.

This works for me with clear DCCs:

Using the 18g needle and any syringe (small ones are more accurate for me), I draw up 1ml+ juice. Remove driptip. Hold up needle to light to see the slanty point and slide needle all the way down the inside of the cylinder, right up against the wall, with the slanty edge inwards and the sharp point against the wall (iyswim) - that way it doesn't catch the fluff. Slowly remove the needle, exerting tiny pushes on the plunger while doing so, thus injecting little spurts of juice all the way up. Do this at north, south, west and east, then fill in any dry patches if any juice remains in the syringe.

I cannot do it well with a non-see-thru carto.

That's worn me right out, hope you understand what I'm trying to describe.

Thanks Scylla..although I hate faffing on with syringes, I always end up making a mess which is one of the reasons I gave up on the smokeymisers.

Since I cut a cocktail stick exactly the right size, Smokies are a doddle Except that I've "lost" the pack I bought from Jason so am back on DCCs. That's OK

Edit to say: Just checked and Curtis's demo is for emptying . . . although this quote is from our Jason.

5/6 drops around the wadding and then a slow spin just pushes the liquid down the carto, repeat a few times just until the first drop or two comes out of the carto and you have a packed full carto.

Takes around 2 minutes and definately gets more in than using other methods (condom or driping).

I haven't tried it with a DC but would imagine the result is the same and with the clear ones you will be able to watch it go through the carto. "

There is a vid on how to empty cartos with the Griz Whiz but I've never seen on on how to fill using the GW.

I have a griz whiz and have also only used it for emptying, but I think filling would be just a case simply putting the carto in the other way round. i.e. battery end facing downwards, with the other end -- with juice in condom -- topmost. Because the whiz basically uses centrifugal force, and that way it should force it into the carto. That's my theory anyway lol.
