Thanks guys, loads of replies and some more reading to do... I'll have updated my basket, changed the 18650,s and will contact torchy directly. Quote from torchy regarding the changed 18650,s "High drain Efest 18650 batteries. The 35A rating is a bit exaggerated, I found they were ok up to 30A continuous." A bit exaggerated?! They're cells with a rating of 20mp continuous FFS.. Not 30amp, not 35amp. I don't know what's going on with Jim (Torchy) as of late but he's lost me as a customer. Anyway, back to positive thinking.. These are the cells I use in my 100w box mods Click MeI've been buying from Ecolux for over a year now and trust him fully. I don't use the smaller cells so can't advise on those. Norbert @ Ecolux will not steer you wrong though.. Just send him a message

If anyone can wait a month, you can get some good battery options at Fasttech at half those prices, but they come overland, so about six weeks. I have a couple of orders on the way, I`ll post when I get them with how long they took.

That`s a better one than the 3100mah Purple Efest one that was discussed. Which really was not on. Safety First when people are buying them to use in mech mods and sub ohming.

These purple efest are a tight fit in my mech tubes, have to twist them in. Red fall in and out.

Ok thanks for the heads up, just tested all, it's only the 18650's, all the others fall in/out.
I'll email torchy, I mention the "re wraps" so he thinks I know what I'm taking about....!

Interesting reading here, I was always under the impression that if it comes from Torchy its good. When I bought my last ones I found his list UBER confusing so I just emailed him saying "I want 4 18650 batteries for my Vamo v5" and went by his recommendation

Batteries completely flummox me.........I want safe ones, ones that last as long as possible before needing charging, and at a good price (not necessarily the cheapest just good honest price) and from a trusted vendor who hasn't swapped rubbish for supposedly good or ok, and I'm still no blummin wiser. I assumed efest were good, then I learn they arent especially good, I bought from Torchy, assume they are ok but will probably be overstated? I only use them for the vtr, but I STILL don't know which and from where. Maybe some clever person could do a chart, similar to the atomiser size one, of batteries, vendors and suitable devices? But I appreciate that things change so quickly and vendors also seem to change it would be very complicated to set up. So maybe I'll just stay flummoxed

You'd do worse than the Samsung INR 25R From Ecolux sleedale they should fulfill your requirements. If you're not sure tell Ecolux what you want and ask for their recommendations.
