People lose all common sense and become animals, all to save some money, no doubt buying things they don't need or feel pressured into buying because they need to keep up with others. It is the sort of scenes you would expect to see when people are trying to get the last food available to feed their starving children in war torn areas, not from people trying to save money on a tv

I need to go shopping today, just for the normal essentials, i.e. food and booze. Think it will be the local Spar, cos my normal supermarket will have these BF offers, plus it is right next to one of Europe's biggest outlet villages, who will obviously have their own sales, so it's going to be gridlocked. No way José. dickyg... hope you got a bargain while you were there ... plus I bet it will be a record day for shoplifting!

Would you stand in front of @spikeyfridge as the doors opened?

Oh lol. Read it properly this time! I'll be doing my usual malarkey on christmas eve with the small stuff. Always hit and miss.
Another thought, why would you take a child to a crushing sale? Hope she got her frozen doll

There's nothing I so desperately need that would induce me to face that LOL Was also hoping to be able to sit on here picking up the Black Friday bargains from our vendors, but sadly don't see many HINT HINT

I'm pretty oblivious to UK popular culture, has this black friday thing been going on for long in this country? Just went to sainsburys for food etc and was astonished by the crazy crowds. Luckily the food aisles were normal, the rabid bargain hunters confined themselves to the electronics/appliances sections

it's just like boxing day sales, i don't know why we have taken on the American sales of black friday, next we will be having thanks giving and heaven forbid Independence day, we will celebrate the fact American independence from Britain, I think it's ridiculous, why would we celebrate the start of the American Christmas shopping don't we have enough sales of our own, if they want to do a sale then just do one, but why do we have to call it black friday following in America's footsteps as usual.
