Brilliant post Lilac that's the benefits of a well made mod - it works every time you press the button I feel the same about my GG's & if I didn't already have my grant & GGTS, I think I would have gone for the Mako.

I woulda loved a GGTS too Chrissie, lol, but found it difficult to justify the money to myself.....after the SD failure, lol £60 was okay, especially as i got most of it as prezzies for my birthday i had intended to get the Megaladon sleeve as well, but if these batteries last a day, i'll just stick with the Midi, i think

Nice post Lilac, you got that spot on I use the tornado during the day for out and about, work etc. Back home, I alternate between the SD2 and the Mako, and the batteries from each last for 2 days - vaping between say 4pm to midnight. They are still going on the 3rd night, but I change them anyway to avoid confusion lol... so, you'll definitely get a full day from the Mako's batteries. I've got spare batts for both, but they're still in the wrappers, both sets of original batts are still going strong, approx 3 months each so far.

Thats great, Bucko, i'll get some spare batts too, since i'll prob be using the Mako full time, at least at home, altho i took it out with my today as i couldn't bear to be parted from it i think i might have a problem with the charger tho, the light on the right side goes out when i put a battery in ??? i already have the same charger, but i've paid for this one too, so might as well have it working too

I do think there's a difference in them to the usual SD l's, cos everyone of us who got them on the BOGOF deal have had probs with them....

Lilac, I think it would be a shame to bin yours & Lolli's SD's. I feel certain that they could be made to work & at least make a useful back for someone?

I agree it would be a shame Chrissie, i think the problem is juice leakage and that they aren't sealed properly....but i wouldn't know the first thing about what to use to sort it

hanow - def NOT a stoopid question at all Take yourself off that step SD is a screwdriver - vaping mod. There is a Mk 1 & a Mk 2 (think Raggy has a Mk 2 ?) Scyl uses Mk 1, I think ? They'll tell you more as they've used them. Lilac & I bought the Mk 1's & never really got on with them, although others love them. Compatible with 901 atties (or 510 with adapter) They have a manual button & rechargeable batteries that last a long while. Batteries are reasonable to replace too. There's really not much can go wrong with them. Hope that helps ps - know of 2 for sale - LOL

There's 2 versions of the SD. A few on here including me, bought the SD1 a few months back from the Screwdriver website, but had a bit of bother with them. It was all highly frustrating, as they're renowned for their unbreakability. Both of mine broke down > and got sent back for repair. By this time I'd had enough, and sold them on. The SD2 I bought a bit after this, from totally wicked. Never had any such problems with this one. I was going to sell it as I'm not keen on the 901 atty, but since I've started using an adapter to enable use of 510 atties, it's turned into a very decent bit of kit.

Bucko Where did you sell them? I've only posted mine on here. It actually works fine too. Is the Mk 2 so very different? Still undecided on what to try next, for daily chain vaping. Once I start I can't put it down!!!

I practically gave them away lolli, £25 the pair with batteries to a friend of a friend. My Mk2 is so much smoother and looser (the button). Its very nice to use, the total opposite of my SD1's. On the SD1, it really was hard work. Had to press real hard, and even then it would not always connect. Sucking golf balls woulda been easier

Yes Scylla, there was always juice in the immediate part underneath the attie, around the base of the spring, even if i was careful not to add too much juice...
when i cleaned it all out with tissue or more recently, with a thin bit of card, it was much better, but only for a few mins....also, if i vaped it so dry that it didn't taste of juice anymore, it was also better...
i never had that problem with my wee torch mod, and i don't have it with my Mako, nor any of my mini's or Tornado....
I was having to wipe it out roughly every hour, so got soooo fed up with it in the end...
