There seem to be a lot of different plastics used in tanks and attys and drip tips and mechs, eg POM, Acrylic, Delrin, PVC, PMMA, ABS resin and doubtless more but what are the differences?, and which are best at avoiding cracking with certain juices?. Also which are the worst juices for this?. I have already lost two tanks due to cracking and these were made of PMMA, I think. ???

Pmma is the main plastic used in tanks. The rest are usually on drip tips. Best thing for tank cracking juices is glass tanks. Not all tanks have this available so have to have a good nosey around.
Tank crackers are mainly banana and cinanman if that is spelt right lol and some citrus juices but i have never had any issue with citrus juices cracking tanks.

Thanks Roscopecotrain , main reason for the question is I'm worried about the clear tank on the Orchid v4 which is PC, whatever that is, and I've got both banana and cinnamon juices so I suppose the best thing is to avoid these in the Orchid and probably avoid citrus fruits too. Are berry based juices OK?

See I have a couple of orchids and a load of kayfuns with pmma tanks and the usual culprits like red Astaire and citrus flavours don't cause them any mither, but show either types of juice to the polycarbonate on an original rose or a hercules, and they literally fall to bits in front of my eyes! God knows what cinnamon would do to PC, but pmma seems pretty resilient to me

I don't currently have any pineapple based juices but I used 10mls in a kayfun that @purple1234 once sent to me and it was fine, which is a wonder cos I know what it does to my lips and gums when I eat fresh pineapple! I think all plastic is potentially susceptible to 'tank crackers' but pmma seems most resilient and I guess not all tank crackers are equal!
