Thanks so much guys (as always) for the advice. On reflection I think you're right - I'm going to go straight for the Istick (and not bother with the Twist/VV). The Istick will be for home use and I'll still use my EVOD2 for out and about. My gut feeling has always been to go for the Istick but I'm still undecided about what to combine it with. Are there any Any Istick users out there who can advise what to stick on top? Day 2 and still off the stinkies! I have to admit that I'm having a huge pschological battle to stay off the rollies - but it is "all in the mind"! Now that I've got through the first day I know that I can crack this! I would never have done it without the help of this forum. Collectively you/we are "changing lives" (even saving lives) for the better ... and that's an awesome thought! So much depends on how you vape and I found that changed a lot at the beginning. I now have 9 devices on the go at the same time because I vape different flavours every day. I use each of them every day and find this prevents the dreaded 'vaper's tongue' (loss of taste). The only tank I use is the Nautilus Mini and they have never leaked. I tried the full size Nautilus but got leaking from the air flow control holes. My son uses only the full size Nautilus and just one juice. He has no leaking problem even with the tank I had. We both use the same heads (coils) and wicking. The iStick gives me a better vape than devices costing up to 6 times more. Get the toilet seat (bending adaptor) to protect the threads and a case if you want to use it on a lanyard. I can't explain any of the above but am content to just enjoy the best vaping yet.

I'm a Protank 2 fan mikemichelle, they've always performed well for me, quite reasonably priced now . . . and if a couple of months down the line you wanted to have a go at rewicking/recoiling the heads, they are quite simple to do. I can do them, so that speaks for itself as I don't have a technical bone in my bod. myepack.co.uk/protank-2.htmlReplacement heads here: myepack.co.uk/protank-evod-coil-head.html

Atomiser! The bit that sits on your device I thought that was called the "Clearomizer"?

Atomiser! The bit that sits on your device I thought that was called the "Clearomizer"? They are... there are clearomisers, rebuildable atomisers, rebuildable drippers, carto tanks and more... atty is just a catch all word to include all of the different types

Well, a clearomiser is a clearo! Think these were the all in ones, smaller tanks but I'm probably wrong! An atomiser can be recoiled and rewicked. And the coil is at the bottom! Someone else will explain much better than I can. Nearly 2 years in and it still confuses me !! Hopefully it won't take you as long to find your ideal set up. Mine is the mukey and taifun gt these days

I use a Protank 2 on my istick too, works great and as Perpetua says it's easy to learn to recoil the heads at some point

and if you get a protank 2 with an air flow controller - www.vapeescape.co.uk/Vaping-Spares/Tanks--Accessories/Protank-Airflow-Controller.Htmland an istick you'll be set up in no time with more money for juice Recoiling the protank 2 heads is not impossible . It's the next step up mikemichelle without it costing you mega bucks I have an atty that's ancient but still love it....I have a few ancient attys - I still love 'em The thing about vaping for me it's not just about not having the 2000+ carcinogenic chemicals and anti depressants from smoking stinkies but also about saving a few pounds and this is just my personal take (take it or leave it) but if you are still finding the stinkies hard to quit allow yourself a few a day (say 5 or less) for a wee while. No one is going to come and beat you up for it I know when I reduced my nicotine concentration too fast I had to do this for a few weeks. Just one rollie in the morning and evening It's ok

Thanks for the replies guys! I'm determined to stay off the rollies if at all possible. Actually, psychologically speaking, I'm finding it easier today. Like I said, it's all in the mind and so I'm giving myself a really good stiff talking to! I mean, I'm getting loadsa nicotine right? YES! I'm getting a good throat hit right? YES! I'm seeing loadsa billowy white "smoke" right? YES! So what the **** do I need a rollie for!!!??? I don't!!! I'm surprised that I'm finding it much easier this evening so hopefully my transition to vaping is not going to be as difficult as I'd built it up in my head to be!
Back to matters technical. I'm actually using a Mini Protank 3. Is that as easy/more difficult to recoil than a Protank 2? I think I've got more of a handle on my inhale technique today so I'm feeling more satisfied/confident with the whole vaping experience. Far from over-playing my new shiny toy, I'm actually vaping less than I normally do smoking and I think that's down to really good 24mg nicotine hits.

The Protank 3's Mini & full size are both dual coil, whereas the 2 is a single coil mikemichelle. Dual coils can be a PITA to do . . . you'd find it easier to switch it to a single coil. I'm glad you said this... Any Protank with '3' after it remains unloved in my box. And evod 2, evod glass... no use to me whatsover... I have a hatred of dual coil clearos. I'm sure I could do one, but a mini Protank v.1 with a basic coil/cotton wool works for me just fine.
