Normally read Stephen King, Graham Masterton etc but read Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn for a bit of a change of pace and it wasn't too shabby. Dean Koontzs Odd Thomas series is also worth a shot for something a bit different.

Dean Koontz has written a few great books - my favourite is 'from the corner of your eyes' - but sometimes he writes for the sake of writing will check out Gillian Flynn and Graham Masterton - thanks

Stephen Leather and Lee Child write some great thrillers and if you like crime stories any of Ian Rankin's Rebus novels.

There's also the late James Herbert. He had some brilliant ones out.

The Martian - Andy Weir
The Best Book I've read in a long time!
Also
Nobody True - James Herbert
More of a thriller than a chiller, intriguing premise.

A mother and daughter combo wrote the "monkeywrench" series of 4 under the name of PJ Tracy. I was sorry to finish them.
