Smok M80 Temperature Mode Help

If the temp feature works that would also be a good selling feature

I have a feeling the M80 is either not detecting the coil correctly and is firing the ni200 just like it would kanthal, or you have to set it manually for nickel.

Similar failure in instructions to the M50/M65 (they provide an alternative button without telling you you need to remove the top to change it).

Yep, gotta agree with this, feels like there's something missing.

It's not seeing the ni200 as ni200, fires the same as it does for kanthal in temp mode.

Nothing obvious in the menu, choice of temperature and whether to use wattage / temp / mech mode

Nice device though, but I'd probably have bought the istick 50 if this didn't advertise temp mode for just a couple of quid more...

I picked out the important bit here. Maybe an email to smok support to make sure we're not missing something really simple? Especially as in a previous post you stated the resistand reading stuck at 0.83ohms. That to me says it's not automatically seeing the coil as nickel.

Would really make smok look like fools if they missed something silly in the instructions tho, wouldn't it? Something daft like holding two buttons down to switch modes 

ETA: something like VT mode maybe?

Hi Bobsbeer i had mine sent from Ash myepack free for review (Review coming to my channel soon) and they are available from his webshop £19.99 myepack.co.uk/clearomizers/smok-gct-sub-ohm-tank.html  first impressions are it is a nice solid device, the retail package comes nicely packaged with spare glass tank and 2 x ni200 0.2 ohm coils (1 installed in the tank)

I sent ash a msg via myepack yesterday, he was going good to investigate further, so I'll leave it there for now

Might try a few odd button presses, see if I can get it to do anything differently, but at the minute I think it just doesn't work

In menu 1 is there not anything else other than 'mech mode' or 'wattage mode'?

Yes you'd have thought there would have been some kind if option to switch between temp mode and normal mode

Yep, menu 1 now has 3 options
Wattage mode, temperature mode and mech mode.

There is menu 2 to see and reset the puff counter.

Menu 3 is to set the date time, shown if you press the fire button when locked.

And menu 4 to choose the temperature.

Menu 5 is to power off

Ok so does that help with getting it to fire correctly with a Nickel coil in it?
