Theres actually a couple of vendors on there vouching for him.
Saying he bought atties from them and did reviews on it...
He came out with a video saying he was not paid in any way to review products, I tend to believe that.
As far as the app goes, it looks like he was approached and those are his terms.
Don't see anything wrong with it.
The stuff he has said was shite is shite and the stuff he says is sick as tits is generally decent stuff.
I don't get the hate?

I don't watch many but I like the builds for certain atties as it can save a lot of time and frustration. Take the product reviews with a pinch of salt.

Did anybody really think he does his reviews for free! All the products he gets sent, do you think he returns them? Better the review, better the next freebie. So he wants paying for a app to use his name, why not? Its his name. I doubt there is any reviewer with a large enough following who doesn't get freebies. Impartial reviews are always going to be thin on the ground if you are sent the latest toy, upset the company no new toys, play nice get plenty of new toys. Not seen many reviews that just state "This sucks" wonder why. Good luck to him if he can make a living selling on utube, beats working. Godalmighty. Look, if he prefixed his reviews with "SPONSORED BY Imaker]" he'd have some credibility, you'd know from the off that he was being paid. The allegation is that he took cash, company shares (!) before reviewing a product that was, amazingly, siq as titz. Would you buy an item from someone doing that? There are videos like this, difference is that they're posted by vendors clearly featuring their products. Vaping reviewers are trusted because of their IMPARTIALITY. Once that's lost, they're gone. Hope the shares go up RT.

Hope the shares go up RT. This is a misconception. There are 3 vendors on that thread saying RIP bought their products to review. The screenshot is about rip sponsoring an app. Almost all the gear he gets sent is given away on rip trippers.com People are jumping on the bandwagon and I don't think it's right.

Hope the shares go up RT. Its a link from one reviewer about another reviewer that concerns an app. Being what I consider a normal human being I expect people to be paid for what they do. If he is paid in cash to promote a product fine, I don't have to buy it and I don't think he has to be impartial. You can name plenty of footballers/actors/musicians who advertise any old shit, do you think they all eat frosties/shreaded wheat etc If he is paid in freebies to promote a product I still don't have to buy it. All this nonsense because of a bit of 'paper' saying he wants paying for an app, any proof this is real? All reviews get freebies, are all of them wrong?

"If he is paid in cash to promote a product fine" sure. But do not put yourself up as an impartial reviewer doing it. Companies do that, it's called commercials. Even if he put a disclaimer in front of his videos "SPONSORED BY <maker>" that would be enough.
And quit the personal insults, it shows how shallow your argument is.

He doesn't get paid to do them. There is no evidence to show he does. I would never try to personally insult you.

It's the 21st century. People are going to make money (internet) doing all sorts of daft stuff, some of it good, some of it bad, some of it downright deceitful.
A rather saccharin young lady makes millions doing crappy make-up videos for kids, then declares herself as a fashion guru and goodness knows what else. The kids love it... it makes money. One day it will end.
Some possibly less intellectually challenged, rather tiresome middle-aged men start making vaping videos and somewhere down the line, they start making money from it. One day it will end.
Is there a difference? Well, there might be. i.m.o. the difference is either making money as a personality recommending widely available products OR making money by selling products on behalf of a single brand company. For example, it's safe enough to recommend a Sonysung TV, just not a Sonysung TV only on sale at Sonsung dot co dot uk for twice the price.
There are plenty of reviewers who review both good universal equipment with one hand and then bogus single brand products with the other. But, worse than that, they make money from sending the uninitiated to certain brands for their own financial gain and yet are somehow revered members of the community.
I'd rather somebody with genuine presence and/or charisma got paid to review products and there was no need to hide that fact. I think the established reviews should be paid. Kanger/Innokin/Aspire should be paying the top guys. Without them, they wouldn't be selling MILLIONS of products.
As long as these reviewers don't tell us where to buy it, I reckon that is acceptable. Market forces will dictate all the prices, nobody gets done over.
Reviewers that make out x, y, z brand are worth buying, and send folk to single brand websites are the ones to look out for. That i.m.o. is not acceptable.
Subtle difference...? Not so subtle? The difference to me is important.

As far as I am concerned, he is entitled to ask for a fee for his endorsement of an app. He is a major reviewer and an entertaining one at that. I watch reviews to look at the kit, I dont really go by their opinions. I would be amazed if he wasn`t either getting free kit or some sort of payment for his reviews. He does a fair bit of other general stuff like coil builds etc as well. I cant see anyone paying him for that. Much ado about nothing IMHO.

People are getting some misinformation, having 2 and 2 and coming up with 10. I don't think he is being paid to review. He is a pretty positive reviewer - as am I!! He builds very well... his atties perform very well... sick as tits in fact! I'm not enjoying people jumping on the bandwagon and/or giving so much abuse to a guy who has been a pretty big benefit to the vaping community.
