As the title suggests...
I'm presuming something slightly serrated?
Maybe something with a wire cutter on the handles for Kanthal?
Small aswell for our and about rewicking...
Do they exist?

I just use normal paper scissors for Muji & Puff Jap cotton & thrum scissor for trimming, don't forget to remove the very thin outside layers.

For kanthal "component cutters (pcb side snips) with offset parallel neck (allows totally flush cutting)" on amazon. Not cheap at £17, but are they good!

Fly tying scissors for me. Lots of my fly tying equipment doubles up nicely as coiling and wicking kit You can get a decent pair for a tenner or an okay pair for a few quid. Chris

I use nail clippers now for Kanthal, just wondering if any scissor had a wire cuter facility in the intersection of the handles or base of the scissors... Saves having to carry nail clippers...

There's really no need to spend lots of money on anything to cut Kanthal. The only time you need to cut it is when taking a length off the reel. Once the coil is on an atty or head just snap it under tension for a very close break

A generic pair of angling braid scissors should cost about 4 quid, if you get branded or fly tying scissors you'll pay a premium

Chris Love to see some of your dress fly's. Haven't done any myself for years, all my gear is still at my parents house in Sussex lol. I was lucky enough to know a lovely gentleman called peter deane ( well known in fly tying world) he was a c!ose family friend and he taught me how to make them when I was a nipper. Still have his book signed by him no 0002. www.amazon.co.uk/Peter-Deans-Guide-Fly-Tying-Deane/dp/0883171724
