Calling Castle Long clone mixers!

I have tried Laireys' mix and its an interesting flavour.
Not sure if it will be a regular for me yet, but its a nice juice, it takes me ages to get used to a flavour, i didnt even like custard at first lol.
I get a biscuit taste and then a slight hint of brown sugar and coconut

It was tasting debs version at the last Cornwall meet that got me hooked!! Honestly, just follow the recipe - I'm no master mixer but mine has turned out as tasty as tasty can be (and then some!!)

spacey iv never tried the real one so don't know how to compare , I just know that ones very tasty , I'm a big fan of custards as well

I've never tried the real Castle Long either - to be honest I don't feel any need to now I know I can make such an amazingly tasty version of it myself!!

Yep, I'm with you on the custards - custards and desert style vapes are my thing - I just keep doing experiment after experiment trying to get them to where I want

One day I shall make the perfect custard......one day..... but I'm having fun trying so don't really mind all the not so good versions I've made

My thoughts exactly I'm actually enjoying the juices iv made more than a lot iv had in the past , it's fun thinking up things that will go together I'm sure some will hit the sink along the way but it's all in the learning

lairey was kind enough to send me a try of the original castle long clone and its verrrry nice, think I will be definitely getting the bits to make this.
Am tempted to try the double rec as I like a stronger flavour.

So after reading through all of this I took the plunge. Ive mixed a few before but nothing of this kind and volume in terms of ingredients.

Well after a mixing and steeping just under a week I couldn't wait no longer...Well first off thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread.

Im getting a boozey almond tinge with a light refreshingness not having tried the original this is good stuff for homebrew

If you can leave some of it for another week or 2 solac77, you'll find it has a much smoother and fuller flavour

Coming up to the two week mark and it's really nice. Close to the original castle long and hopefully after another week or so will be even better. Coconut seemed slightly more prominent on the original so might up it a bit. Also mixed up another batch with vg and no added pg so doubled the concentrates percentages due to it having no pg for the flavour for an 80/20 mix for the rda so fingers crossed on that one too. Hmmmm what's that lairey ? I should mix another bottle with 2 and a half times the concentrates? Okey dokey then
