Oh oh lairey the fella who created the original recipe after a load of experimentation has a final version up using different brands for taste: www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/threads/castle-long-clone-recipe-anyone.532626/page-6
4 parts 3.1% KY BOURBON TFA 3 parts 2.3% TOASTED ALMOND CAPELLA'S 3 parts 2.3% COCONUT FA 1 part .77% SIMPLY VANILLA CAPELLA'S 1 part .77% MADAGASCAR VANILLA FW 1 part .77% BROWN SUGAR EXTRA TFA
Looks like I'll be making a trip back to chefs vapour
Credit to jonhall2 for the recipe. I'm going to try this, but it seems light on ingredients, compared to the the first ones. Did you miss anything off the list dalealan ?

Still need to order the Madagascar etc.

I will dalealan. But I will steep it for at least 4 weeks. Probably more as I have a lot of juice ready now, and loads more steeping which is nearly there. I'll keep some of the original recipe for a comparison. Well....maybe.......It's nice...

Mixed a 15 percent one but prefer the original 10 percent mix but go through much too much as the subtanks drink the stuff but it's addictive

Using lairey original recipe I have bought the concs and mixed at 12, 15 and 20 Now the long wait - 2 weeks is a long time for someone as impatient as I am

Using lairey's recipe as a starting point, I've done what is probably the roughest mix I've ever made. Didn't have any bourbon concentrate, so substituted with a blend of whisky, amaretto (since almonds were already involved) and sweetener. No point in listing my ingredients and proportions - if any self-respecting mixer could have seen the way I threw this together, they would be appalled. Happily, the result after one day's steeping is really not bad at all. It may not resemble Castle Long very much, but I'm unlikely to find out anytime soon, and the best news is, I'll be able to use up my whisky concentrate after all. Which is nice. If this juice is still going down well with me as far as making a second, more measured batch, I'll report back with whatever it was that I did.

This one clashes with the latest instalment of the only other recurring social engagement I have, but since they're both in town, I expect I can half-attend, so I may be late, but I should be there.
