battery latch is loose can it be tightened it turns off now and again

Not used a vtr much but I know prr has a couple he might be able to advise better.

I have one that flops open now and then, simple answer is a bit of potv tape across the battery door.

Regret to say I was rather refreshed yesterday, you could say as refreshed as a newt, that was meant to say PTFE tape or even insulating tape. Not perfect but solves the problem.methemandus

Does the battery hatch flop open or is it just not making good contact on the battery.
I have one and certain batteries seem to be a tad smaller and i mean just a fraction and they cause it to turn off.
I find the SONY 18650VTC5 the best fit with no problems.

This would be my solution as well as I have about 50 of them in different sizes.
Battery magnets, very handy things to have.
