Well, I had a bit of time today so took the plunge and hit the update icon.
Just over 2 hours start to finish and that included the time it took to alter the somewhat dubious privacy settings to a reasonable compromise.
Not sure if I like it yet, though I think I was in the minority that actually got on well with 8.1 once I was booting straight to the desktop and managed to stop the charm bar from appearing at random.
I'll probably keep it now though and I'm sure I'll get used to it soon enough.
Got to move with the times with these things I suppose

I have to keep it now... unless I put the old hard drive in. (My 30 days are up).

So far, it's been close to perfect.

Cortana is dull, dull... zzzzz

Having it boot in 12 seconds is cool though.

been having regular system crashes (handled by enforced shutdown/restart) this last week, had win10 on this puter for a few months now - dispaly driver issues after running the C&C generals unofficial V2 crack..

also projecting the display to an andriod TV puter employing miricast results in black screens under win10 while it worked flawlessly under win 8.. tho i have yet to check for a miricast update..
