Windows 10

Had to uninstall mine, the Search and Start menus would not work no matter what I did after a while (it`s a known issue). On the plus side, you can go back to your original OS within 15 minutes. Couldn`t believe how quick it was and how well it went back. Identical to what it was before, nothing lost
Also quite a few programmes including my scope one wouldn`t work in Windows 10.

So far my install has been problem free- everything that I've tried works as it should.
It's just a jazzed up windows 7 with tiles

The tiles disappeared on my install after a few hours and nothing would bring them back, if you left clicked on the start button a menu came up, but little worked on it including search and the start programmes menu blakey

That's strange, I did a back door upgrade cos I never got the upgrade widget but it's fully functional

That's strange, I did a back door upgrade cos I never got the upgrade widget but it's fully functional

All sorts of crap on my computer, probably confused the hell out of Windows 10

Mine has been spot on since the upgrade, still no issues other than having to update Kaspersky Internet Suite, far better imo,

Cannot get win 10 installed as it says my processor is not DX capable

Installed on mine not sure if i'll keep it though, i notice my boot time has tripled and there's like a 3 second lag when i click the start menu button before the menu actually comes up.
Everything else seems fairly smooth so far.

Defrag the drive, mine was 27% fragmented after the install

Mine loaded no problem, and even Cortina worked. The start button does have a delay though, but at least there is one. I think I will carry on using Chrome rather than Edge, as it was a bit slow and have never been impressed with Bing.

Nope old school drives here, after the defrag though i did have that problem robby experienced with the start menu and search bar not working at all when i booted up again.
Restarted it again and it's working fine now.

Restarted it again and it's working fine now.

There does appear to be a few start up quirks around, mate on another forum, was logging in - failed, tried again, and it let him in, next start up - no problem. I don't want it yet on my desktop, but have loaded it on to the laptop, which i hardly use these days, just so I can have a play with it.

How long does it stay at 'rebooting' after the 100% notice?

Upgrading the laptop from 8.1 and it's been on 'rebooting' for an hour now
