Nice work. Your fair coming on leaps and bounds now. Most of by builds are twisted nowadays. Although I did recently do a clapton with a 0.32mm core and 0.23mm wrap, but I don't really like claptons, as I find they take too long to ramp up.
One of my kayfuns currently has a 4x twisted 0.23mm in it, in that I took a length, doubled it over, then doubled that over, hooped it on a drill, and twisted until it broke. Nice. Can't remember how many wraps I put in the build, but it's coming out at 0.4 ohms, and is vaping great. I usually just twist the 0.32mm once and that is fine, but once dual coiled twisted 0.50mm and it was very low resistance, but an epic drip...

Thank you very much xs2man Fun to learn and achieve things, for sure. I was watching RipTripper making a clapton earlier, and noting to maybe have a go ... yours sounds great, but must need really high watts? I've got to have a go at the 4-twisted; sounds amazing! New black (infinite) Kayfun on way that will suit that fine.

just checking you are using high amp batts in the Sigelei Thanks decoy and, yes, I'm using the Samsung 25r's, and being religious in swapping them round and charging them equally. Was a bit nervous about the 70w for the dripper, but am checking the Steam page ... often my builds come out a little bit higher though, so I'm then unsure exactly which watts level is safe; tending to drop it down then, just incase. Don't want slightly toasting, any day of the week, lol.

New black (infinite) Kayfun on way that will suit that fine. Nah, watts aren't really a problem. Somewhere around 25w for the Clapton (my DNA40 clone vaporflask reads the clapton at 0.75 Ohm), and around 30w for the quad twisted kayfun. I banged the clapton in a Zenith (single coil), and took a couple pics for you. Not the nicest clapton by a long way, but decent enough. I might ditch the clapton out the Kayfun, as I don't think the Kayfun really suits the coil.

That's brilliant, xs2man, and thanks for the great pictures too ... inspiring me a lot, and cool that not superhigh watts needed. Will definitely give this a go soon (wire funds pending, lol).

kittyvape, Just took a couple pictures of the quad twisted build in my Kayfun for you. Just for reference, since I was re-wicking it anyway. I'm not professing to be a building of nice coils by the way. But they work quite well.

that's really good, xs2man and to see that on a Kayfun is inspiring. Still waiting for the black KF4 and the positive post to repair my silver one; any day now, lol. Inspiring to see how far the KF can be taken. Very neatly done, and thank you very much for such lovely clear photos too. Can I check again what wire you've twisted 4 times? I don't know the wires by eg .32 yet, but only by awg, lol. Should have Dremel soon too, to be able to do the twisting.

It's 0.23mm or 31 Guage wire in the quad twist : www.vape-atomizer-mesh.com/products/Kanthal-A1-Heat-Resistance-Wire---0.23mm--230-Micron-or-31-AWG----20---Metre-Spool-2556.htmlI don't use a Dremel for twisting, I just use a full blown drill, lol.

Thanks xs2man Appreciate the link. And, lol. I might be able to manage a full blown drill instead; not sure ... started looking at the Dremel after wanting to sand the Goliath clone down so the juice control ring can be slackened off. If there's a monster drill with those extra parts, might just need to go for that instead. Would it be too difficult to quad-twist with a Dremel?

I don't know about the Dremel, I stick a L-shaped Allen key in the drill chuck to hook the loops round, pinching the other end with pliers, and full speed it.
And to be honest, the only reason I did that quad twisted build was because I had the 0.23mm kicking about. The only reason I had that kicking about is because I bought it when I first started out, and didn't realise how high a resistance it would give me. I would never buy it usually, and the only way it's usable is in builds such as this, unless you want 2+ ohm coils.
