Further update on the Orchid build. As it isn't recommended to dry burn the TI coils before wicking, due to oxidation, I would suggest that you always juice up and fire a few times before assembly as I found that the screws had loosened off and had to empty the tank and re-tighten. I was getting strange ohms readings and poor performance. Now it has been performing very well for a few hours and keeping the ohms settings. Also the restricted airflow of the Orchid means that it isn't really suitable for chain vaping. My next build will be on the TFV4 RBA deck with TI which should be quite an eye-opener (lung opener?), I think.

Very interested to hear how that goes sydsutI haven't found any real reason to even try Ti yet I have to agree after trying it, no big gains with it really. Was hoping for better cleaner flavour as commented on the web but I cant taste it. That`s not to say others cant taste it though.

Just an update on the Orchid v5 TI dual coilbuild. Now running on the C CUBE II at 470f, 0.14 ohm and giving excellent flavour on Aerovapes Crème Brulee 6mg. Still experimenting but getting there I think.
Edit : I also changed the cotton wool to rayon so that has probably made a difference.

What I will say for the mod is once you've used it, a normal button feels strange!

I just had mine delivered from gearbest and i have to say i am impressed at how quickly it got here. It was 3 working days from it leaving gear best and being in my hand!
The mod is great too, just upgrading the fw to 1.09

I am tempted by the idea of ni and titanium but the idea of dangerous chemicals being created if you over heat the coil are putting me off. Is stainless steel safer?

Not sure also about the ss, but i believe its the same as the stainless used in mesh that we used to torch for many minutes for the genesis attys hehe so i assume it hasnt got the same worries as titanium. Apparently theres a few grades of ss like 316L and 317L and people have been using it in normal wattage mode as well as temp control modes but they say its harder to control the temp on it so maybe temp has to be set lower. Its getting tricky to figure out all these different wires out lol

That's a good point and it's reminded me that my origen genesis isn't getting much love recently.
