If I've understood the video correctly, I have to own an Android phone or Apple phone in order to adjust the temp coefficient of the mod. Out of the box you can only use the mod with a titanium coil. So if like me you don't own an up to date smart phone you can't use the mod with a nickel build?

If I've understood all that correctly, it seems a bit daft to say the least. Someone tell me I'm wrong please

If you don't know someone with a phone you could borrow, that certainly looks to be the case. But it wouldn't be a Smok product without a quirk or two.

It`s set to nickel out of the box. It`s not just an Android phone you need, it has to be Bluetooth 4. But nickel is fine, working great here.

Just a note to say that if you dont have a Bluetooth 4 phone (I dont), you cant adjust the purity setting at all.

Just a quick note on something I have noticed, using double coils on this mod makes a big difference to performance. As it is the amount of juice flow that regulates how well it performs, if you double the wicking by using two coils (juice flow) you will increase the vapor amount considerably. Your adjustment for flavour etc will happen over a wider range of temperatures. Currently using a dual coil set up and finding that 380F is giving me what feels to be about 20 watt performance (with taste and heat). I am using the dripper, but I would think that dual coiled tanks will benefit from this as well. It`s like chalk and cheese  Posted this on the SMY60W TCMini thread as well, it works the same way with the same effect

The main reason for this is the way this and the SMY work, you cant regulate watts on them, so it will give you full power which will depend on the wicking performance. Then you adjust your vape by reducing the temperature control setting. It gives quite a wide range of temperatures for adjustment (with dual coils). Using triple coils will make the vapour production increase by 50% over what a dual setup will give you.

Just tried it at 420F and it is really blowing clouds now, same for the SMY mini. But clouds aren`t my thing so going back down to 360 ish.

I dont know why your experience should be s different to mine robby ??
Using the same Subtank mini (with stock Ni200 0.15ohm coil) ithe vape from the SMY is great at 560F but on the Xcube I get virtually NOTHING at the 600F max

In my experience the SMY is a MUCH better mod, the Xcube is cr@p and I wouldn't recommend it to ANYONE

I dont know why either Q but the vape experience seems right and just about the same on the Xcube and the SMY
