The Spanish newspapers are reporting on the Public Health England's findings about the 95% safety of e-cigs and the recommendation of using them to stop smoking. There's links to articles on the Spanish forums.

I wonder if our Spanish government is listening to all this and taking it all onboard, I hope so

Emerging evidence suggests some of the highest successful quit rates are now seen among smokers who use an e-cigarette and also receive additional support from their local stop smoking services.

I wonder where that evidence is coming from as my experience and many on here shows that you don't need additional support from local stop smoking services to be successful if you choose the right vape gear.

In all the time I have spent (over at least four years) reading vaping forums I cannot ever recall anyone at all recounting how they stopped smoking through a combination of vaping and support from a SSS.

There will no doubt be some such cases in Leicester and the one or two other SSS that have been promoting vaping. Most don't so in most parts of the country it will just not have happened.

I've been reading a lot of comments by the general public on the news of prescription e-cigs and it looks like it has made a lot of the public very angry and anti against vaping. I know we don't really want e-cigs medicinalised but the general public aren't aware that we have always been against this, and that we prefer to buy our own consumer products and not use a licensed medicinal product.

The most important thing about the last couple of days is the fact that smokers now KNOW that their health can be dramatically improved by vaping SAFELY, now officially recognised in Government circles. I`ve read most of the report and it is a really good read, lots of common sense in it and free from bias.

Im sure its a report big tobacco didnt want to hear, more smokers lost to them, all stinks to me. They are forcing it to be a prescription only substance (nic) which was the very argument they lost a few years back...
