Talk about creating an industry 'out of thin air', some of these HR people need certifying. I remember many, many years ago being asked stupid psychological questions when the trend came over the pond from the US.

Things like... 'Never mind your academic qualifications, do you still sleep with your mother?'... WTF  

I don't like that I've reached the end of my working life, but I'm so glad I no longer have to put up with this sort of rubbish.

nice one mate i have actually had a few of those questions in the many team building type courses i have been on  and since i don't play nicely with others i  said the wrong thing

I've never been asked anything like this in an interview and to be honest if someone did ask me nonsense like this i would just get up and walk out because i would not want to work with loons like that.

I'm no Human Remains insider but the Bollox some people talk at work is comical. Some people talk bollox like that all day, and others nod as they speak it. On the other hand I usually ask them what the feck you on about.

Well i would disagree with the expert in the article and suiggest stoopid questions thrown at you in an interview are intended to see how you deal with the unexpected and the correct response would be to question the validity of the question and any answer provided, turn the tables and dominate

Haven't had a job interview myself since I was about 23 and refused to go on any more bull HR courses when I was a manager, one was enough and I didn't return from lunch on that one......have Interviewed many....its pretty easy....
