Quit a few people having a fit over the Hcigar VT200 having a brass 510 threads. Apparently they do not hold up very well, leading to wobbly attis over time. I have brass 510,s on a number of mods, never had an issue with any, I guess if your ham fisted you could damage it but more than happy to take the risk on a mod that appears to have a wee bit of QC about it.

I think as long as the post is a benefit to all Vapers there would not be a problem linking elsewhere.

Todd has issued another warning; about the battery contacts on the VapeCige VTBox200 v1 - appears this will be fixed in the v2 :

Yeah we spotted that on my mates one, kind of a golden rule in R/C never put male connectors on the battery, your just asking for trouble. I just lost all faith in Vapecige after seeing the issues with all the first batch VT200's, I mean these were units going out to reviewers etc and they sent them with these issues, talk about shooting themselves in the foot.
Hopefully the latest ones will have everything resolved as it is a nice mod, just not for me.

I have one of these at the moment, dont know what version it is as I haven`t stripped it yet to look at the 510 but IMO the connector thing is a bit over the top. Minimal care will ensure that the worst does not happen. It`s not ideal of course and SHOULD have been spotted, but it`s not as if you will be changing batteries every day unless you have a spare battery. You`ll be charging through the USB.
EDIT ..................... I`ll be taking mine to bits in a few days so may swap the plugs and wires over then, not something I personally look at as essential though.

I expect them to iron out all the issues and it to be an OK mod, but the battery terminals were pretty bad as it is easy for a random bit of metal to come into contact with them and there is a massive amount of power in these batteries 12 V > 50 A pulse.

It`s a pretty tight connector and I doubt many people will buy a spare battery which would be the only real reason for taking the battery out. That would be the only possible way to get a short. Everything is a snug fit behind that battery cover, the connector certainly couldn`t come out by accident as it sits, but forewarned is forarmed

Hopefully no-one would be messing with lipos if they dont know what they are doing. Basic battery safety care. It`s odd these were supplied to Vape Cige like this.

The battery cover off, 4 allen screws for the side button/display area removed and battery unplugged. Very simple, 4 soldered wires, 2 to the 510 which has NO GLUE on this one and two to the power feed from the lipo. Also has the white charging plug. The battery connectors are still the exposed terminals. I had a look for the batteries of this make "Lion power" on alibaba etc but although found hundreds with the same name/logo, couldn`t find an 1800mah one which is probably the only one that will fit in this mod. It`s a very snug fit. Doesn`t appear to be any glue in the mod anywhere. I`ll be doing better pics when I review it properly in a few days.

www.gearbest.com/radio-control/pp_171685.htmlThat looks like a possible replacement/spare, 35C but 1500mah, not 1800mah. I think it is slightly smaller. You would of course need a balanced charger for it, and the right connector to match the mod power input. www.gearbest.com/rc-parts/pp_27704.htmlNot as expensive as I thought. Of course you dont need these items if you just use the one battery and charge it via USB in the mod. These two items available on Ebay for not much more money.

Sorry i know its already been said but that male connection on the battery is just a big no no. We all get the hump when you see the media biggin up some headline about an ecig burning a house down or putting someone in hospital, then you see s@@t quality control like that. Not good.

If it`s never taken out of the mod it will never be an issue. All connections are shrouded when connected. Those of us who like to modify, maybe have a spare battery can changed those connectors. This is a ready made and powered mod.

That is true robby but there will always be people who fiddle and dangerous things should be made as idiot proof as possible, hence you dont have three prongs sticking out your mains socket. There is no excuse for putting those connectors on back to front especially when peeps can gain easy access to its internals.
