Should have a go yourselves at making claptons, use a ball bearing fishing swivel at one end of the wire and a drill at the other, then it's just a case of wrapping it with some really thin stuff. You can use two strands for the core as well and that's a fused clapton.

I was inspired to have a go at making my own clapton wire by this thread. Have a small pile of "free" wire spools that have been added to my orders over a period of time that were never going to get used. So I straightened some .41mm as per Rip Tripper, then wrapped it with .21mm. Guided the .21mm with the sleeve of a ball point pen. Had a couple of little wobbles with gaps and a double layer, but made enough for a couple of small coils. Now installed in the Plume Veil and vaping nicely. Gets through juice very quickly, but very rich and smooth, liking it very much, could be converted.

What I find interesting is that I can have widely varying power settings on the Istick 50 and the coils still perform. Hottish vape at 45 watts, but an equally good vape at 25 watts, no real difference in vapor production just a subtle difference in flavour.

Is this wire for drippers or can it be used on kayfuns etc ..............and heres me thinking sub ohming was a doddle

I've only tried in a dripper so far. I would imagine that if you put them in a tank you would need very good wicking to avoid dry hits. I still get dry hits in my sub tanks due to insufficient juice flow, think claptons would pull even more juice?

I have tried dual vertical Clapton's in a velocity! the Clapton's act like a Archimedes screw! empty's the juice well quicker than i could fill it!

Claptons can be used in tanks....subtanks....Lemo2 etc....as for dry hits it would be hard to do as claptons hold the juice unlike single strands

Gearbest are a Chinese company peter12, delivery is free and you'd be highly unlikely to have to pay import tax.
