Is cloud chasing a man thing?

Even though I'm a serious cloud chaser, I often think that some folk do it to show off. My cloud's bigger than your cloud. My car's bigger than your car. My dad's bigger than your dad, sort of thing. I only cloud chase in the comfort of my home/garden. I never blow huge clouds when I'm out with Joe public. I don't want to offend anyone or give vaping a bad rep. It does my head in when I see some d**khead in a beer garden showing off with his clouds.

So. To all you cloud chasers out there. Where do you cloud chase?

At home or at a Vape Meet . . . . for me Sub-ohm vaping is more about experiencing a different style of vaping, alongside the more regular stuff.

The clouds generated aren't actually my first consideration.

I deliberately blow the biggest cloud that I can when I pass a smoker, just to let him/her see what they are missing. Otherwise, I keep my clouds for the privacy of home.

ETA: clouds are not my main concern when subohming vaping but the flavour is.

at home mostly and a cupple of my reg night clubs were i know the owners
i tend to use a gizmo 17mm most of the time when not doing silly things

now we get to the prob of sub tanks and young peps in pubs they dont seem to understand there is a time and a place for these things(like the smoking aria)

I think you make a good point Ali Bongo...

It bothers me immensely to see ( mostly young ) lads blowing huge clouds in public.

I believe this can only be bad publicity for vapers, at a time when we are fighting so hard to make people realise the benefits of vaping.

We have a Vapemeet in a pub once a month...& regardless of our number...we never seem to be sitting invisible due to vapor.

If anything we have people showing a lot of interest.

IMHO...keep it in your own personal spaces.

I agree decoy . I have heard of a couple of pubs where vaping was once allowed has now been banned because of complaints about cloud chasing. Four or five people can produce a lot of vapour in a pretty short time.

I usually don't go the full hog in public.
And if I am forced to do so I am making sure I take shorter hits and blow it up instead of in front of me.
Never had a negative feedback about it though.
Mostly it is a case of 'Whoa! How do you do that?!' and then I go full hog into conversation to convince smokers that vaping is the future for them
Apart from that I usually don't vape at home (missus doesn't like smoking and vaping as well because of the clouds...) but use the balcony or car to do so, but when in car I'm always on my own with all the windows open because the last thing I want is to have an accident whilst driving and vaping.

But when someone does cloud chase in public or in public access enclosed spaces and isn't considerate of others it really bothers me... It's just so disrespectful!

At home where it doesn't bother anyone else, although i might have bothered some people at 3am this morning, i must have gotten a little more enthusiastic than normal because i set the smoke alarm off in the flat.

I cannot see the point of cloud chasing.I turned to e-cigs to leave smoking behind.This I did and with reading up on mods and atties I have a selection of kit that I use and enjoy.The only things I need are 1/ stop smoking 2/ and enjoying the sensation of (smoking)taking the safer alternative.
I honestly think that cloud chasing will spoil it for others either as a nuisance or some novice not reading up on ohms law and blowing his hand off.You only have to look around on the Facebook pages to see some novice decided to stop smoking and wanting to blow big clouds with no research

Agree with what is said here about cloud chasing in public, does the cause of Vaping as smoking cessation no good at all and is inconsiderate to boot.

Not sure it is just a boy thing, can see the attraction but can't bear lung inhales!

It's not a boy, man, girl, woman thing, people from all walks of life enjoy it. I'm on a number of FB groups where we enjoy it, we do silly vids and have a great laugh.

You also have cloud blowing competitions where the biggest cloud blown for the furthest distance wins, it's becoming more popular. 

But it's the same as with anything really, some people are just dickheads period

But the hand blowing already happened before couple of times I believe? There was a news coverage about it and truth to be told when I was on my eGo battery then I thought... You know what? At least fags kill me slowly and went back to them. Glad I read up on this more and gave it another go!
