Dear vaping friends I have decided that having a twin 18650 mod with in excess of 100w of power would be a good post-Armageddon investment, but not sure about TC yet, although my Velocity seems to work OK for a first build. So come on guys 'n' gals, hit me with some recommendations and links for your preferred mod. Budget not huge, and I suppose I could be tempted by Chinese vendors too, although UK might be better in case of failure etc. I've already had a good look at the X-Cube II and like what I have seen, but am open to other suggestions too. One small caveat - it must be available in black so that SWMBO doesn't immediately notice a new mod. Oh, and something which has silicone skins available for it too, as my Sigelei 75w has already been rather scratched from being naked in my pocket just once - loose change and car keys I guess! Thanks in advance for all your suggestions AndyB EDIT: this seems to be quite a good price!! Smok X-Cube II

You cant blame me for trying Nice one @windows, would love one but as the new mod will be my daily drive, I would hate to damage such a wonderful piece of craftmanship!

chykensa mind if I join in here too. I am also now looking for an upgrade. So instead of make 2 identical posts I thought I'd join here since I want something similar. Sick of having to go through 4 batteries a day and keep making sure I have batts in charge. Kanger goes through batteries like no bodies business at 40-50 watts. Also doesn't go lower than 0.3 ohm Over 100 watt minimum dual battery Low build capability. I.e 0.05 ohm. £45 ish budget Tc would be nice so i dont need another upgrade later on

I spent a pleasant hour with zeldamum this morning trying some samples of new juices using my Velocity in TC mode, and almost drained a fresh Samsung 25R! I've almost got through 2 complete batteries today, so something that takes the strain a bit more readily would be welcome Let's hope we both get the answers to our quest

The xcube 2 works well? Battery life lasts? Also is it actually in UK warehouse?
The sigelei looks good but looks way out of the budget range? Only 0.1 ohm min?

chykensa I'm going to watch this very closely as I am in the exact situation myself, I'm not one for keeping up with the Jones' but I do really need a bigger mod, my 30w istick is dying half way through the day at the moment which is getting annoying. I also have a uwell crown on order so would like to put it to good use once it turns up I like the look of the xcube but it is huge! Definitely not pocket friendly in my mind.... The search goes on

I had the choice of three dual 18650 mods in my local shop, Smok, Sigelei or IVP4s. I could have bought over the net but I really wanted to get a feel for one and believe me I nearly wore the paint off two of them before making my choice. The stainless finish of the Xcube really didn't do anything for me, neither did the grip firing bar. I was tempted by the bluetooth programming but aesthetically I couldn't live with the fingerprints. On initial specs I would have ordered the IPV4s blind on the net but in the hand it was different. The battery cover felt cheap, fragile and the whole thing felt tinny. Yes it had a lower Ni rating, yes it was upgradable to 160w and Ti compatable but....the issue with the warranty on the IPV3, the rapid release of the 4s with no upgrade didn't inspire confidence. I bought the Sigelei, a more hefty solid feel, tactile matt finish. That was it just the feel in the end, similar power, no Ti, no bluetooth, no USB upgradable firmwear. So far so good, I don't use it as an ADV I bought two pairs of batteries and have only recharged each pair twice. I fire up a couple of claptons at 80w in a velocity once or twice a week . I've started to use it with a TFV4 and quad heads....extra cloudy Sir? I've put juice in the tank more often than I've charged the 18650s. My only issues are that the lovely soft finish shows every smear of juice and as mentioned in reviews the channel that runs all the way around the edge is prone to catch any juice if you are messy with a dripper. In hindsight and now using Fastech and Gearbest, the Smok was very cheap last week down to c$55, the IVP4s is holding around $60. if I was buying today I'd go for the IPV4S. Paypal rates and UK express shipping... £41 or KOV if a UK source was prefered.
