So do you guys feel your own mixes are better than "premium" store bought juices? I understand that taste is subjective but always wondered if DIY juices have that premium quality or are they just cheap and vapable?. Saying that - I've tried quite a few premium juices that were awful! I feel bit impudent answering this being relativity new to both vaping and mixing and considering the company present on these forums. My aim is to make my own vape that’s better than store bought, the reason I turned to diy was whilst I found nice store bought juice it was always missing something or not quite right for me. begin the journey down a custard rabbit hole.. The aim is better than anything you can buy, its got to be surely? I am at a stage where I'm very close to what I wanted (I've gone and said that it will probably take me another 6 months now!) and my aim is a juice that I love, not mass market I've no intentions in that regards and when you have it where you want it taste wise, and a Brucey bonus it knocks it into the park in regards to price. I look at recipes as a starting point not a finish line, its a tinkering and starting point for me

Nothing wrong with that approach whiteclouds. I have tried recipes as written, but then tinkered for the next mix. Still doing it. However, I find I have to keep buying new flavours, or more precisely, the same flavour by a different maker. You will only find your dream juice by tweaking it. Nothing impudent in that. Tastes differ. Have fun

You guys have convinced me, so next pay day I'll be getting some 1 shots to start with then I'll see how that goes... Fantastic! You know where we all are if you need any help, suggestions or recommendations Arrowmunda. Keeping it simple to begin with is a good place to start. This beginners guide from Kev, is worth a read: allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/51720/mixing-guide-first-time-mixers?page=1I look at recipes as a starting point not a finish line, its a tinkering and starting point for me And isn't that part of the beauty of DIY . . . . taking inspiration from a recipe, then adjusting it to suit your tastes.

Beginners mixing Piece of mixing gear that is mega cheap and will come in oh, so handy!!!! Plastic shot glasses from the poundshop for decanting ingredients pre measuring them You can have coloured or clear. Just be careful when you wash them as found they break easily, but a quick rinse and drain is fine

Arrowmunda at the end of the day this is e-cigs - not big pharma and patents - all e-liquid only has 4 ingredients (or less) - so the only thing you're really paying a premium on is the flavour ...agreed ..+ a plastic bottle overpriced

if mixing 1 shot flavours such as heisenburg from suicide bunny, then the juice you end up with is identicle, or as good as or even better than the of the shelf version, you can tweak the strength, consistency, flavour and nic to suit what you want...
when mixing base flavours to emulate a shop bought flavour, the results are less certain, and can be a total fail when first mixed, but can also steep into a different but even nicer result too... there is a dice roll, but following tried n tested recipes can minimise the risk..
