I found that if I waited a bit longer the smileys would eventually arrive, but I have to be honest the slow loading was driving me nuts, and I have now resorted to installing the unmentionable and that has fixed it. If you want to know what I am talking about then feel free to pm me.

I re installed the unmentionable myself and it does seem a lot better today
