Well zero nic hasnt been as successful as i'd hoped ??? I managed 5 days but i could tell it was affecting me, i was very moody and kept reaching for munchies anyone that knows me will tell you im not a big eater, im the sort of person that freaks if i have a big plate of food put in front of me. So this sudden intake of food was totally out of charater for me. We have had a really stressful week, Steve's dad is seriously ill in hospital so the last thing Steve needs is me being snappy. But the last straw was last night, i was here on my own and i had a real craving for a ciggie its the first craving iv had in about 6 months and it really scared me. If i had ciggies in the house i honestly think i would of lite one up So i am now back on 11mg and i think i will stay on that until everything calms down and perhaps try again in a few months. Im really disappointed in myself

there is nothing to be disappointed about you tried and that is all that matters it just wasn't the right time...treat it as a learning exercise so you go armed into the next time to go zero nic or to give your experiences to the next person to try..good on you for trying your are a lot braver than me

Not to worry Bel and don't put any pressure on yourself. You've got atleast another 3 score years to try to get zero nic ..

Bel, don't be hard on yourself ((((hugs))))) you tried, and it didn't work THIS time If 11mg is working for you under the circumstances, that's good! Try to get some slightly lower nic juice and keep hold of the 0 nic. Vape what you feel you need at the time? Sometimes you probably need that nicotine but other times it is probably habit, so mix and match to suit your mood and circumstance! Above all, give yourself a break, sounds like things are tough.......... I'm sure you'll get there in the end

Have read this Bel as I too thought I may try no nic (or at least start the work towards) soon as I seem to be vaping far less than I did at the start. Can easily go for long stretches - hours sometimes - and it not even cross my mind. Not start the minute I get up etc.....Am usually on 16 - 20 mg nic but feel it is the smoke and ritual I am into rather than the nic.
But what you described is how I felt when I first started vaping - the headache was persistent for me for about 5 - 7 days and v poor concentration. But I stopped the fags!
So I'm not even going to try as only been vaping 3 months ish, and not had a ciggie and never really craved one even though I stand with smokers at work and my son at home still smokes as does me Mam.
I do think I would be able to in time though but I don't care if it takes years - after all, was on the fags for near on 40! And I gave up immediately after I started vaping.
Well done for trying though. And reporting on it.
Ali x

I really hope i havent put you off trying Alijoy, but i think you hit the nail on the head. We have been smoking for years, so of course its going to take time. Im around smokers all the time at work and iv never craved one, hate the smell and everything so when i had that urge last night i knew it was time to knock it on the head.
In time im sure i will get there, im quite a determined person when i put my mind to it, and iv stopped the ciggies which was huge for me, so at the end of the day whats abit of nicotine compared to all the other nasties in a ciggie.
You will know in time when your ready to try, just make sure you arent going through a stressful time, and beware of how your feeling and try not to put yourself under any pressure.

Never mind Bel - it was a valiant effort and you'll know what to expect for your next try.

Good luck on your road to becoming a non smoking non vaper.
Although I enjoy the nicotine too much to even attempt lowering my intake. In fact been thinking I may need to up the strength from 18mg to whatever the next step up is.

You should be proud of yourself for achieving 5 whole days Bel!!! Maybe next time take you juice strength down a little at a time instead of suddenly, 11mg may not sound high but its what your body obviously wants and maybe needs to be trained otherwise. If you are upset about not succeeding this time, tell yourself you did it for the good of your brain, noone wants alzheimers So really it's best all round if you just stick with 11mg for at least the next 30-20 yrs then maybe try again lol Best wishes to Steve's dad I hope he makes a speedy recovery.

echoing what everyone else has said... dont be down on yourself... look at it as a good 5 day trial... you dont need the extra stress right now but you will do it in future no doubt ...sending best wishes and love to you, steve and his dad
