Just started using this tank and I'm surprised that the juice I'm using tastes different in this tank to my old boge cartos & tank set up.
Can anyone offer any reasons for this?
The taste is rather unpleasant and I don't understand why.

I cannot tell you why it is different but this is the set up I use and I agree, it does taste different.
However, when I start off a new coil, I start it on the lowest setting I can and slowly up the wattage over a period of several days.

when you say unpleasant what sort of taste is it your getting. chemical, burnt, bland etc also what wattage and which coil (1.6 or 1.8) are you using and are they clones or authentic coils. also what juice is it and what VG/PG ratio is the juice. imo nautilus is best at 50/50 mix.

I use red adair in the nautilus daily, mixed at 70vg 30pg and i love it, for me it tastes better in the nautilus than anything else ive tried it in. Imho some juices just seem to work better in certain devices

hissie uses VG heavy eliquid, due to a PG intolerance . . . . so a little dilution could be helpful, assuming wattage/coil are good. The Nautilus coils also take a little time to perform at their nicest I find ( also using VG heavy eliquid ) . . . . so adapting to a new system, also takes time when you've been familiar with something else for so long.

Thanks for all the replies.
I'm so used to my old set up that I agree it is going to take time to get used too. I also didn't know that it is best to up the power over time. I've just went straight in at a higher wattage. I'm using the tank on an istick 30w. Whereas before I was using a zmax mod.
I notice with this new set up, the throat hit isn't as good. However I'll probably have to play about with the wattage/voltage.
The bits and bobs I bought from Fastech, so I really have no idea whether the tank and coils are clones or genuine.

Just started using one, and vaping at 8.5w right now. I can't imagine vaping at 14w - I'd be charging my batteries twice a day I think.
As for flavour, well, I can taste it. As for the vape itself, tighter than my iClear (airflow on the second hole, the third hole is too loose - why can't there be a hole between the two?). And I've already had gurgling with it, which I find isn't so easy to clear as with other tanks which you can just blow through. Hmm ... Anyway, I don't notice anything peculiar about the taste.

I've been using the Nautilus for quite some time now and have to agree that flavour wise it isn't as flavoursome as the Boge carto's, however I've yet to find anything that does, and I've tried pretty much everything.
Not sure if this is of any help but my findings with the Nautilus, using 1.8ohm coils, were:
1) When brand new it took a couple of re-fills before the funky taste disappeared, perhaps some sort of coating on the pyrex itself. 2) I found that building up the wattage gradually over a period of a couple of hours when renewing the coil was best as on occasion I did burn out 1 or 2, and I always leave it to soak for at least half an hour first before using. 3) As I like a nice airy draw I use the largest hole. 4) This is a tank that doesn't perform well with juice that has a high VG ratio, and as already mentioned, 50/50 seems to be the limit as long as you don't push the wattage up too far. 5) In combination with an I stick I use voltage instead of wattage and find that, for me anyway, 3.6 volts is the sweet spot as far as flavour goes, which I do notice drops off after about 6-7 days, so I renew my coils every 7 days. 6) As with all tanks and carto's the nautilus behaves differently on different mods, e.g. I get hardly no flavour on Kanger Tech mods.
All of the above are my own findings and won't necessarily be the case for other folk.
If you like high VG juices and higher wattages then the Aspire Triton is a dam good tank which I find more flavoursome than the Nautilus (used at 26Watts)

Telling someone to ditch a new bit of gear and try something different rather than looking for a solution to their problems might not be the most helpful suggestion, but it's one I'll make anyway.
Get a Smok TFV4 mini and a pack of the 1.5 ohm heads. They handle higher VG juice a lot better than the Nautilus and with the airflow closed off you can get quite a tight draw from it and mouth to lung.
The coils are slightly pricier than the Nauti ones, but I've been getting 4-6 weeks use out of each one and the taste is a lot better than the Nauti. If your gear allows, you'll also be able to subohm should you wish.
Edit: As you can get the tank for the same sort of price as the Nauti, I think people should start recommending it to newbies with the 1.5 coils as it will enable them to progress to subohming if they wish to do so in the future for the price of some different coils rather than investing in new gear. The rebuildable deck is also less fiddly than recoiling a Nauti head should that be something people wish to progress to. It's a great bit of kit.

Well been using this tank for a few days now and I'm finding not many positives.
For some reason when I'm unscrewing the bottom, the coil isn't screwing off at the same time. Not sure why that is.
Still no throat hit regardless of what I do. Plenty of vapour, but not much else. Throat hit is very important to me. When using a boge in a tank (using usually VG heavy juice), I still get a good throat hit.
The coils i'm using are 1.8ohm, but the coil i'm using at the moment is showing as 2.0 on the istick.
I am going to keep battling away with it, but it is a tad frustrating. Although I do accept it's going to take sometime to get used to.

The coil can stay stuck in sometimes, on various tanks, just screw it into the base reasonably tightly and you should be ok, taste is personel preference.

The coils are 1.8 and am wondering what the maximum voltage/wattage can be used. Even after letting the coil soak in the juice, I'm still getting a burnt taste.
