Why do we need so many ejuice flavours ? . No I've not gone mad it's just an idea I have for a book and I need you guys to please give me your thoughts on the vast amount of flavours we crave. When we smoked we were happy to just smoke tobacco or menthol cigs, yet now almost every vaper has an Arsenal of every flavour under the sun. Why is that ? Are we all bored with tobacco ejuice, is it we have to get as far away from tobacco as possible, or is there no tobacco ejuice that's the perfect replacement ?. I've had the urge to write a book for many many years and I think it's about time I did it Thanks in advance

With cigarettes we had little or no choice on flavour. With vaping we do.......and it's that simple. Food is just fuel for the body..............yet we don't stick with one flavour we like there either. Variety is the spice of life.......humans thrive on variety. Good luck with the book @tedster

I must be the exception, although I like the occasional flavoured vape, I always go back to my trusty tobacco one, Good luck @tedster, I look foward to seeing you collect your booker prize lol

I could never find anything that closely replicated cigarettes for me. With the heat, throat hit, satisfaction a amongst other things. So I wanted lots of vapour to make me feel I had taken a substantial hit of nicotine.
Flavours since I Wass getting an exact replacement or anything close it made sense and was satisfying trying different flavours (even if some were disgusting)

I quite liked the flavour of my baccy when I smoked. I still like the smell of fresh smoke. I tried baccy flavoured juice but hated it, so went on to try different flavours. Finally settled for lime, and that's it for me.

I just don't very often get the urge to vape a tobacco flavour anymore. When I first started vaping I used baccy juice to try and simulate a cig but none of them ever cut so I moved away. Now I just vape whatever takes my fancy. The odd occasion I do fancy a baccy vape I like cigarillos which glen introduced me to and kindly gave me a couple of bottles. Quite strangely it's the only juice I can vape at high nic

I think it's because, when most of us smoked, there was little difference in flavours, apart from standard tailor made, menthol, rolling, or cigar tastes. However, pipe smokers have a vast array of flavours, so could sample different flavours whenever they chose, but at a higher cost. The nature of addiction makes you return to what works at the price you can afford. Hence drug addiction causing death from dodgy cheaper drugs. Since vaping is vastly cheaper than smoking (shineyitis aside), it's not prohibitive to experiment with a new flavour.
Just my opinion

tedster, you have hit the nail on the head old son! I smoked senior service cigarettes exclusively for 40+ years. If I ran out, usually down to people saying, I haven't seen one of those for years! Could I try one? or , my grandad used to smoke them! I would never smoke anything else until I bought a new pack the next day. Now, 11 months since I quit smoking, I still lust after a senior service. I have tried every hyped up juice on the market I think, but apart from a couple of diy juices I could quite easily spark up a senior if offered one(unlikely, as they now cost over a tenner a packet, and people don't offer them around anymore) I have struggled this month due to giving away a bit of juice but am determined not to give up vaping. In answer to your original question No, there is no perfect replacement for me.

Despite putting away 40/50 cigarettes a day . . . . I actually hated the taste of tobacco in my mouth @tedster, so I rejoice in being able to get my nicotine fix minus that claggy taste. The wonderful choice of flavours is to me a bonus.

The wonderful choice of flavours is to me a bonus. I agree, I loathed the taste of tobacco when I smoked and would go through packets of extra strong mints to get rid of it. I stood next to someone the day who was smoking and it genuinely made me feel sick. I have never felt to hypocritical in my life! Nick

I disagree, it's cos fags were/are a hell of a lot more addictive and so we craved the hit from a cig, not the flavour, that never even came into it, now e-cigs are nowhere near as addictive nicotine/chemical wise so we need different flavours to keep us going, so when we get used to one the taste goes and we need a different flavour, cos on their own they are nowhere near as addictive, simples.

For me the tobacco flavour was never going to be the same but I wanted to replicate the smoking experience without the dangers and Hangsen Virginia 18mg does it for me and has done for the last three years. It has become more satisfying as time has gone on and I can get a warmer more satisfying vape now. I have strayed many times and ended up with a vast load of partly used 10ml bottles of juice which have ended up binned. I will never blow clouds, just mouth to lung. I did try it for a few days but hated the heavy feeling in my chest from coating the insides of my lungs with unecessary crap, to say nothing of the greatly increased juice expenditure.

good luck with the book, if it helps you here's my take on things: I have a whole variety of flavours sitting in my cupboard I've tried most of them and so far love most of them, I like mint /menthol flavours and custard flavours the most, but I also quite like a lot of the fruity flavours and some I like only when mixed with the tobacco flavours (which I hate on their own) I am currently using 6 different atty's all with different flavours in them and I like most of them I tend to rotate them through the istick at different intervals throughout the day normally as one unit gets warm and starts giving dry hits I swap it for something else, to me its the diversity that's keeping me away from going to the shop for another pouch of baccy, like some others I actually loved the feeling a roll up gave me, the heady rush of all that smoke into my lungs the surge in metabolism and uptake of medications can give a huge double whammy buzz that vaping just doesn't do, on the flip side I can actually taste food and I don't feel short of breath every time I take a lungful of vapour nor do I stink and I can sit in my chair rather than going outside to freeze while I do it. the upsides are clearly better than the downsides and yet without all that variety at my fingertips I would probably still smoke (albeit a lot less) most days as well as vape, having managed to make it 2 weeks since my last smoke and not started to suffer the killer cough I got last time I tried to quit there's a good chance I might make this last a lifetime so long as I don't suffer equipment malfunctions to often

It's the choice of flavour for me, quite simply. I didn't particularly enjoy the taste of tobacco, although as a pipe smoker I did enjoy Cherry and Vanilla, funnily enough a combination I have yet to mix as a vape juice. Spoilt for choice as far as e-juice flavours are concerned, and very much a hobby mixer, I enjoy the combinations of flavours and discovering something that will re-envigorate my palate and give my vaping a new lease of life. I have my favourite juices which I keep a ready supply of, but I also enjoy the challenges of coming up with something which my vaping friends rave over. And no, I have never had the urge to vape a tobacco flavoured juice; I gave up tobacco so don't want to be reminded of the taste and smell, thanks!
