I don't get in and out, I've been trapped in the shed for years now, just a slot for pancakes and vapemail

I have seen him open the door to call TJ, but it's winter ATM... There you go, that's the Todd version of Temperature Control then.

Was that Todds Rant? Thats it? I wasted a Busardo of my life expecting a rant of Bogan-esque proportions.

Todd , yea recognise you now, have watched a vid of yours when I first started vaping, you seem a likeable guy...don't watch you tube videos, haven't got the time now days, too busy coiling NI200....! Just watched your rant, a very mild rant I may add... Bit of a double edge sword I suppose, as a reviewer you should stay impartial and try to not let personal opinion effect your reviews. As I vaper then you're allowed you opnion as we all are....... Although your opnion has more influence than most....hence this thread mate....

TC for Dummies (i.e. ME) Ego One Mega Tank on a Istick 60 TC or a Evic VT TC Mini or on a Istick 40 TC, put in a Nickle coil, set to 200 C (I don't do Farenheight) and vape! After some time the vape drops off, (peers into tank) - no juice, top up and vape away again, no burnt taste, no DRAMA. That's what TC is for me. Oh and I have done TC in a dripper with Fasttech pre-coiled nickle coils, same as above, just vape @200c flavour drops off, add more juice and vape again with no burnt taste. Simple, but there again I AM a LAZY vaper. BTW I am subscribed to Todds Review Channel, I watch, take on board what he has to say then carry on, sometimes my interest is piqued and I may buy something he's reviewed or maybe pick up a handy hint from one of his tutorials but most of the time I treat it as a "what's about" and to see what's new. Just watch, you may agree with what he has to say, you may not, just make up your own mind at the end of the day.

I just watched, hum YiHi induced, the thing with YiHi and P4U is they do temp limiting in a different way, not wrong, but does complicate the landscape. (They shoot a block of power at the coil, wait for it to cool down to the temp, then do it again, that's why they run hotter and use Joules instead of watts because it's one second average as opposed to a true rate) 25 pre-sets does sound like overkill, I spose it's just the so they can have more features than the competition, do you have to use them? I agree that it has got too complicated with all the different wire types now, but I don't think it's really a rant, more a moan, no offence meat. And just because Todd is a reviewer doesn't mean he should not voice his opinion, IMO if you get to know a reviewers preferences you can adjust their conclusions to you tastes. (The only time I took exception to a reviews temp limiting BS was GG saying that not having res lock was a no no for temp limiting as it could lead people down the wrong path, only use it for connection problems IMO)

So I'm doing it right VapingBad? If the coil is rock steady on the reading then no need to lock the ohms in?

So I'm doing it right VapingBad ? If the coil is rock steady on the reading then no need to lock the ohms in? IMO you are better off without lock if you have a good stable connection it allows the board to monitor the res as the coil cools and adjust it's base or reference resistance, that's how the Evolv's work and I believe the newer Joyetecs plus probably a few more makes. You should be able to see if the ohms displayed changes after a while then stay stable it has probably got some sort or refinement algorithm. This can then compensate for the internal resistance of the mod and atty making the temp measurement more accurate. But locking on the wrong resistance can very easily give you a burnt wick.

Impartial, Christ no, that would be boring Well on that basis you're totally wrong and temp control is the future, you're playing with yihi's temp control, mistake no. 1.....

Todd there has been some hype at the moment over the Hohm Wrecker G2 and it's ability to do TC with Kanthal - and that is all it is HYPE, tried it @ 430F on different settings from 0.00010 to 0.00045 as advised and the cotton goes up in flames when it dries out too much - tested using a Black Widow with 0.3 dual clapton, so I don't know how Grimm Green managed it, maybe he will tell us when he does a full review.
