Yep, my bag arrived yesterday! One question - do these Puff pads have a more solid layer on one side which needs to be peeled off, as I'm damned if I can see or feel one? If not, I presume that they can just be peeled in half layer-wise and then stretched and rolled for the Scottish Roll method? I will have a go at some point this weekend, time permitting! They do have a fine layer on each side, you can roll it up and use is as a wick to so don't bin them.

Thanks VapingBad, I'll have to have a closer look and will certainly retain the outer layers for future use!!

Might be a stupid comment to make . . . . but my new coiling hero, suggests peeling off the outer layer top and bottom on cotton pads, so you're just using the inner fluffier stuff. That's what I do.

Update: I have now used the Puff cotton in both tanks and RBAs and it works really well. No taste on the first firings, and it seems to wick really well. It is quite tolerant of getting close to dry burns, and in a Scottish Roll wick performs better than my Muji from Vape Mesh Co. I'll keep on using it and report back on any developments

Well so far, I've only rewicked my subtanks twice since putting in the first Puff cotton, usually I'd rewick every second or third day. There seems to be a lot less need to vape them in and they keep the flavour longer. The Griffins have been less forgiving and I'm tempted to give one of them the subtank RBA treatment and open up the juice holes to 3.5mm, they are so easy to wick but I'm not convinced that they can actually keep up with the coils. Still using the Egyptian cotton in my drippers, needs no running up to temps and the flavour is very clean however I'm still stewing over the price....... it was an expensive piece of carpet underlay I picked up a few packs of vapegeek GKD in the CNY sales, its very soft and the extra long strips are handy because I can get three Griffin wicks from each length of scotch roll. And you can get a few wicks from each strip. I'd put it somewhere between the Puff and the Egyptian underlay for flavour. I was sure that I ordered some Cotton Bacon....well it turned out that it was still in the shopping basket but not paid for and I reckoned that I had spent enough on wick so I deleted it.

Landed today, new stuff 180 pack so donated it to the makeup removal members of the family. I will have to try the Puff Cotton as that seems to be recommended on here

I've been using the Vaper's Choice Cotton (VCC) i found over here Seems pretty decent tbh - possibly over-wicks if anything on my usual builds - so having to go lower to get the best out of it - .5-.6 instead of me usual 1ish builds. Maybe some flavour - but acceptable - not that i have a lot of choice if buying direct here - otherwise it's getting it sent to me Ma and forwarded from Ireland

I ordered a couple of Serpent minis from Creme de Vape and added a pack of cotton bacon and a meter of rayon. The serpents are great, simple and compact, it was fairly easy to fit some 5 turn fused claptons (0.37x2/33g wrap). One mini with Cotton Bacon.....comes it an easy seal packet, its cotton, you have to pull it apart, had to trim it back in the juice wells (first build) because imo it had expanded and pulled down with the chimney I couldn't tell the difference between that and GKD and maybe a ml of juice behind the Puff. So definitely reduced break in time. One with Rayon...I had previously read that it doesn't expand the same as OC and that you could pack the coils a little tighter. Again the wick was a little too long, easily remedied as the glass stays tight to the top ( this time) No break in time, wick n vape. I couldn't tell the difference between it and the Cotton Bacon, if anything its a little better than Bacon, GKD or even Drago aka- the Egyptian carpet underlay.
So the very first person to reply to this thread yahoo2u2 ...... its only taken four months to get there
