DNA Vapes 300W Mod - A potential Accident waiting to happen?

Got an Email from DNA Vapes about this 3 battery, 300 watt mod due in March. Just how safe is this? Have placed it in Members Only for obvious reason but feel free to move it if you want ModeratorsSpartan 300 watt Mod

It wont be 300w continuous, it will be based on very short pulse.

They don't seem to give a dam I saw a 50 W 18350 mod there. Hopefully it is just as yahoo2u2 suggests, but that is blatant misrepresentation at best and the sooner these cowboys leave the industry the better, and I mostly mean the manufactures in this, but retailers should at least give honest info in the listing.

Ive bought from them, I wouldn't again and I wouldn't recommend them. There aftersales customer care is less than great I hear.

And now it appears their pre sale care is lacking too !

.2Ω at 100w comes to 4.4v

The batteries would not be able to cope regardless.

If you are talking about the Nugget, it's an 18350 sized LiPo - just been watching a couple of reviews of the kit version

ETA sorry misread you post, completely got it arse verse, was in a rush

Sorry, but that has nothing to do with it, batteries are never at 4.4 V for one thing, but at high current they will likely have at least a half volt sag so 110 W (allowing for converter loss) at 3.7 V would draw 30 A for the first puff on the very best battery.  But in the real world there are no 18650s that good, VTC5s drop that much at 18.5 A (link) at 30 A they would be much lower voltage and the board would need more current than any battery I am aware of can safely supply.  

Either they are compromising safety or lying about the performance IMO.

DNA Vapes applied for vendor status here, but their request was refused due to their website not being compliant with online selling regulations. Even though they logged back in after I replied to their PM, explaining what they legally needed to do, they never bothered to reply to my PM or do anything about it.

On the evidence I have Chrissie, its their loss and certainly not ours. I would certainly avoid this vendor.
