In fairness when I first started vaping*, a VIP cartomiser would last me longer than a day, but it would drop off after the first few hours, not caring if I damaged the carto (not knowing I could refill at first) I'd use them until I got the burnt taste. So yes when I first started they would last over a day, if I went back to them, now that I'm a little more experienced, it would be a couple of hours tops, because as soon as they started to drop off I'd want to refill.
Edit: * whoops

Alvo, I think you have hit the nail on the head. If folks don't know they can refill them & are trying to get their moneys worth out of the cartos - they will make them last & suck them dry.

Alvo, I think you have hit the nail on the head. If folks don't know they can refill them & are trying to get their moneys worth out of the cartos - they will make them last & suck them dry. Standard business practice, using HP as a great example, you go and buy a printer, it costs however much, this printer is actually sold to you at nearest dammit cost (maybe a bit of profit). Why? Well the markup on consumables is such a ridiculous amount (read that as thousands of percent profit) that they make all of their money over the 4 / 5 year life of that printer (and a lot of it at that, one of my home printers would cost £420 to replace all toner, the printer was only £300 with 4 new toners in it). Same as ecigs, if Skycigs are selling their carts at £9.99 for 5 then I reckon the cost of production (and related packaging etc)of those carts would be sub £1.50. Those carts lasted me 2/3 days, so I would now need to spend £20+ a week to keep me in SkyCigs. Which is why this forum is so great, I now have a seriously good vaping experience and bar the initial outlay I reckon I can get away with £40 a month on juice and consumables and I be happy that I am satisfying my craving for nicotine in the most pleasant way possible
