Hate to say it but I believe the deal is already done, Mercedes were grooming Werhlein in case Lewis jumped ship (he tested this years Merc during the season), seat is already his, lucky boy.
I'd like to be proved wrong though and see Jenson have another year in a decent car

I read somewhere that they offered him £5 million, so I wouldn't be surprised.

So if Toto is involved in the management of Bottas, how much will he earn for signing 'his guy'?
That said, he's the man for the job. More than competitive enough to pick up the pieces when Lewis doesn't win and unlikely to cause any trouble. Even if he isn't a second driver as such, he'll know his place.

Wolf has to sever management relationship before Botas can sign, it's on Wolf's contract.

About time too. He once built the sport up and the last (at least) 10 years tried to destroy it. Races in countries where nobody gives a hoot just because they can pay his enormous fees, sky rocketing ticket prices as a side effect. Ever more convoluted rules, demanding tyres that can't be pushed for more than one lap, getting rid of tyre competition/choices by only having one supplier, refusing to allow streaming but forcing peeps to pay over £40/month to watch it on TV although I think the BBC in their immeasurable greed has something to do with it. I hope liberty media gets it right and we'll have a bit more excitement coming.

It needs to come back to free to air if it has any chance of rebuilding it's popularity. Sadly all forms of motor sport have been in decline, but Bernie's greed has been a double whammy. He may have been the one to turn F1 into a global money making machine earning the drivers mega millions, but ultimately greed was his and the sports downfall. Hopefully the new owners will turn things around.
