How does Nico play the next one, having failed to finish things in the last two races?
Does he try and win it on merit to make sure of things, keep himself out of trouble and ignore what Lewis gets up to or... go all Prost/Senna/Schumi on Hamilton's behind?
Why am I convinced he's going to try something stupid if he gets close enough to Lewis?

I'm not sure BrenD. I think he will just hope to be on the podium. I think he would like to beat Lewis to win, but the prize is worth more to him. He knows he won't get a better opportunity.

Would be sweet if NR gets tangled with Red Bull/Ferrari and finishes 5th/6th (I'm clutching at straws methinks).

Great race so exciting but I think nico can buy my Euro Millions next week with his luck Tease-smiley

Sad today in many ways. The last race for Jensen Button. He has been a credit to the sport and will be missed. As for the title, fingers crossed for Hamilton, but for him to win Nico has to crash or be taken out. Come on Verstappen, you can do it.

Well, I think it's safe to say that Lewis and Nico are no longer mates. Hamilton may not even survive the fallout from ignoring team orders instructions.....
We will see. But the new WC is not the deserved driver. At least four other drivers on the grid are better than him, and I would suggest as many as eight are better.
Whatever anyone thinks (me included), Nico Rosberg won the title. Congratulations to him.

I think the only thing missing was a radio call to Lewis saying "Lewis INSTRUCTION stop trying whatever you are doing to win the Championship and play nice" Congrats to Nico for winning, i guess, but im left with the feeling we all had at school when a kid who wasnt part of our group eventually became part of friend group(in school) by constantly doing silly stuff and wore us all down

I dont think that yesterdays race will alter their 'friendship' at all, Nico is man enough to accept that he would have done exactly the same if the boot were on the other foot, as would (dare I say it) ALL the field. As for Nico not being the best driver, maybe not but that is often the case, luck plays an important part in all forms of motorsport, being in the right team at the right time, and getting a good share of the 'rub' is probably the most important thing, Nico had both this year and deserves the title. The person I still feel most sorry for is Jenson, apart from his time at Brawn he is probably the unluckiest of the current generation (carefully worded to avoid upsetting Chris Amon/Gilles Villeneuve fans). Look back at his career, dream first team, Williams where he had a year developing the car before handing it over to Montoya, he moved to Benetton/Renault and devoloped that car only to be replaced by Alonso, he then spent many years sorting out the BAR/Honda before finally getting his share of the luck when Ross Brawn took over, then McLaren... a good showing against Lewis reminded everyone what a great driver he was but Lewis got the luck. I have followed Jenson from his karting days (against Nico), and remember a superb kart race between him and Jarno Trulli (someone else who never had the right team at the right time), and stated after that race that JB would be World Champion one day. Thank you JB

Rosberg beat a better driver in the same car, no mean feat, the overtake on MV and not making a mistake under pressure in the last stint of the race was very impressive. IMO he is a deserving champ, yeah Lewis is faster, won more races, had more car failures and drove better, but at least he has 3 WDCs. Sterling Moss didn't get any, Lewis and Fonsie have had to watch Vettel take 4 championships and Kimi take 1 when they were the class of the field. In the big scheme of things, when he retires I think Rosberg deserves a WDC considering Vettel got 4, for the last 5 years he had a 7 time WDC and a 3 time WDC team mate and still kept fighting.
As for fair play I suspect that Lewis still feels he hold the moral high ground by some margin and think he should have backed it up much earlier. I can't see Merc doing much more than a slap on the wrist, they were stupid to put their foot down and would have hard time explain to the board they lost their biggest asset over and error of judgement if they take thing too far.

I agree with this also as I think deep down MERC board will need nico and esp lewis next year if its closer racing verstappen/lewis fighting would be awesome I guess the one good thing about all this is every1 is chomping at the bit for next year so thats good also

With all the changes happening for next year it will be interesting. Nico was lucky, and whatever the fans think he is the Champion. Lewis did all he could to win, but there was little more he could do on the day, apart from back Nico into the field in the hope someone might overtake or crash into him. Not sure what the gripes are, it is a race. Lewis did not do anything wrong or illegal. I'm sure they had words in private, but Lewis probably said "P!ss off and grow a pair" or words to that effect. Lewis left it till after the final tyre change before he started playing, so good on him. He tried, he failed and Nico won the championship. Let's see who can dominate next year, now that is the question. If the cars are more equal, I doubt we will see Nico up there again.

the lack of sportsmanship from lewis in the weighing room spoiled it for me, whatever anyone thinks a quick well done hand shake would have looked a lot more gracious from lewis rather than coulthard having to force it on the podium....poor from lewis in my view

I think we would have seen the same from Nico if Lewis's plan had worked. Probably a hurled steering wheel as well and spark plugs at dawn.
