Concentrates should be OK, maybe they will make sure that e-cigs are not mentioned but AFAIA no nic = not under the TPD.

There's actually very, very few companies that add Diacetyl to their flavors ( none that I know of off the top of my head ) . . . . . Acetyl Propionyl and Acetoin yes, which can result in naturally occurring Diacetyl in minute amounts - made even more minuscule when diluted as we do.

Without breaking out another chemistry lesson it's due to the three of them sharing a similar molecular structure where the breakdown of one can result in the other being produced.

It's just one thing after another - I get the feeling they are trying to sicken us off so much that we will dump our vaping gear and go back on the fags.

Its a good job we are made of sterner stuff but I fear a lot will throw the towel in.

I guess the cynical in me is a bit suspicious when reading that list. I noticed it mentions a few nasties that we know about such as formaldehyde and acetaldehyde, but with a *. Understandable to include those and I don't know of any juices that contain those chemicals. However the * concerned me. It relates to the emissions testing, and given that most if not all juices give off those chemicals/compounds if heated to extreme, how stringent will the testing be?

I don't think it's unreasonable to ban it in premade. Remember the 5P kerfuffle when loads of people were going ape about their business practices.

Whilst some may say they are aware of the issue and are happy to take the small risk the majority, i.e.non forum users,will not be aware of the risk or even the issue. Surely regulations should look after the majority not the minority. Most forum users have the ability to make their own concotions to their personal tastes and that's unlikely to change in my view.

Tend to agree with you Greg. Most on here won't be put off, and if offered for sale will buy the flavour concentrate version and mix up their own. As it is there is no restriction on purchasing any flavour intended to be used in food.
