72mg Nic, how long will it last & Smok Alien Question

Well my Alien arrived today.
One set of my batteries dont seem to fit, and did not want to force them, but my other pair did, so thats okay.
Filled up the TFV8 Baby with 24mg liquid, and after about half an hour of trying to get her to work (blimey, they are much more complicated than they used to be!) I had my first go..........blimey!! *cough cough*. After looking into it, I gather I am meant to choose a lower mg liquid for direct to lung vaping.
I then managed to find an old fogger atomizer I had about, knocked the power down to 12w and that seems okay for now. Need to get some suitable liquids ordered now for the Baby TFV8 and another pair of batteries.

Are the batteries you couldn't fit flat top or button/nipple top davemorton ?

I am presuming button top. Exactially the same as the one in the front of this pic.

Theres a lot of mods wont fit a button top battery, get yerself a Vamo to use button tops in

P.s. That calculator recons i have 14-15 yrs of nic base for the three of us

You'd probably find 6mg will be ample . . . . . .

Yes the alien requires flat top battery's mate, I'd defiantly cut your nic to 6mg or 3mg in the tfv8 baby.

Well, that's the extra 5 litres decanted, spilled, bottled and the smaller freezer sorted out

Got 5.1 litres out of the DarkStar 5L plastic tub

Would've got 5.14 Litres if I hadn't spilled some during the process

Hats off to DS for the quality, clear as water (almost)

...and for squeezing in a bit extra to allow for the spillage

Okay, so got some 3% juice from Mole juice, still nearly took my throat off and thats at only 30W on the Alien, I must be doing something wrong? Ideas please?
Appologies if I am being an idiot, and am missing the obvious!

3% = 30mg/ml (i.e. high nic e-liquid) .... I take it that you mean 3mg/ml, which is 0.3% nic!
From checking their website I think that it must be 3mg/ml, their PG/VG ratio is also stated as 30pg/70vg, so PG & nic shouldn't cause excessive throat hit.

What coil resistance are you using?

Yes, 3mg, sorry.
Just using the coil that came with it. The display reads Ohms 0.414, Amps 0.239 and the coil has 0.4 ohms wrote on it.

Have you tried using a lower wattage davemorton . . . . just to see if that's a bit softer on your throat?
