The RM handling charge is £8. Not extortionate in my view. Anyone here working for free? All countries do this to protect their domestic markets. Posting within the USA is a nightmare, as each state can have different vat rates for commercial goods. I couldn't disagree more, the £8 fee is triggered by a >= £20 spend and these days that is only $24, a surcharge of up to 40% is completely OTT IMO. You still have to pay another 20% VAT and you are doing most of the work either paying on-line or going to the sorting office and then they haven't even tried to deliver it. Maybe £8 is reasonable if you are spending over £200.

But, as I remember it (looking back some time) the charges weren't always £8. Or, maybe there was import duty and people are confused things with the passing of time. Either way, no, £8 isn't extortionate...

Maybe £8 is reasonable if you are spending over £200. It's no less work or man hours, if the goods are worth £20 or a million. It's a charge made for the time spent collecting and remitting the money to HMRC. Hence a flat fee. The import duty and VAT are a percentage because they are a tax, levied in all countries.

The RM handling charge is £8. Not extortionate in my view. Each to their own opinion buggritt . . . . it is in mine for the ' privilege ' of simply putting a card through my letter box on an order under £20.00 in value informing me of charges and administrating them. Anyone here working for free? Yes, regularly . . . . in one way or another. Maybe £8 is reasonable if you are spending over £200. I *think* that might increase depending on the value of an order VB from what I've read of others experiences in the past . . . . whether it's a standard charge now, that I wouldn't know.

Thanks everyone for all the posts and info. Well, I have took the first step and just ordered one. No minime, I didnt know it was a direct lung tank, but I do now Never had one before, so something totally new to try. I presume there is no issue fitting a different tank to it, so will be back later for tank recommendations. Dont think I am up to doing my own coils (yet) I have tried before, and have some somewhere that I ordered a couple of years ago, but for the moment, I will hunt out fastech to see if I can find their coils that fit. Just ordered a couple of juices, posh ones to spoil myself, as I used to only really do the cheap liquids or self mix mint flavoured. (I did start out with some Grants though, so I have experienced good liquids).

Yes mate other tanks will fit just fine, the Rba section for the tfv8 baby that comes with the alien mod is very very easy to build on I think it's one of the easiest to coil and wick tbh.

I am going to give the ecigs another go, so have been reading up all about the restrictions coming in about the sale of 72mg nic. I bought a litre about 2 years ago from the states. It is still in its plastic bottle in the box it arrived in. Should this be disposed of, or will it still be safe to use? In most cases It should be perfectly safe to use however after 2 years unless stored in a fridge or freezer it is likely to have developed a peppery taste and depending on your finish e-liquid nicotine mg strength this might start to overpower your finished mix To test DIY nicotine base that has been stood up for an extended period of time first shake bottle next remove the cap and let it stand/breath for a short time then smell/sniff it. Nicotine base stored at room temp will develop far more smell and will be a darker colour than if it was stored for the same time in a fridge or freezer, this increase in smell and colour does not mean it will be in any way unfit - on the other hand if it smells rank or gives off a very overpowering unpleasant chemical stench then bin it. I strongly recommend that before you use/open the bottle you give it a good shaking as some USA nicotine VG base has no added water this lack of water makes it very possible for the nicotine part of the liquid to float to the top of the VG (hot spot/ top of the bottle ends up with a very very high nicotine content)

I think ive read most of this thread and if im on the wrong lines forgive me but Nicvape is no longer viable. In the past it used to get through customs but it don't now and you also have the delivery charge. Basically you can buy twice the amount within the uk cheaper, delivered.

Here's a good calculator to see how long your stash will last. How long will my Nic last?May be worth a sticky for future reference?

If you would be kind enough to start a thread in Mixology with this great link car147 - then I'll sticky it. I could move your post onto a new thread, but that would show me as the creator which I'd rather not as it wouldn't be fair to my mind. Thank you very much for sharing.
