Have you tried using a lower wattage davemorton . . . . just to see if that's a bit softer on your throat? Yeah. Recommended wattage is 40-80, I have had it on 24, which is about as low as it seems to go to get any vapour. When I have it at about 40, there is even pops/crackles and hot liquid coming up the mouthpiece into my mouth.

Perhaps it just needs a little getting used to.

3 % = 30mg/ml (i.e. high nic e-liquid) .... I take it that you mean 3mg/ml, which is 0.3% nic! From checking their website I think that it must be 3mg/ml, their PG/VG ratio is also stated as 30pg /70vg, so PG & nic shouldn't cause excessive throat hit.
What coil resistance are you using? Yes, 3mg, sorry. Just using the coil that came with it. The display reads Ohms 0.414, Amps 0.239 and the coil has 0.4 ohms wrote on it. Not sure, sorry Dave.... maybe someone else will have some ideas? Your current that you typed in Amps seems low (I vape generally below 20W, but at around 0.7 ohms) Maybe turn down the power until it suits you....? [ETA] - ninja'd by Perpetua ... I'm operating as slow, if not slower, than the forum tonight !

Well I might have solved the 'popping and spitting' issue. I had washed my atty out with vodka to get the 24mg juice out that was in it. I guess it must not have been dry enough when I put my new juice in, as the 'spitting and popping' has stopped now, and it is getting easier on my throat. Newby error I guess. Thanks for all the help so far....More questions to follow

Perhaps it just needs a little getting used to. The other thing I thought of was, have you got the airflow open to the fullest extent davemorton?

I think it must be down to a different type of 'smoke'. I am/was on 15/20 cigars a day, and taking them back, but guess this is a different thing for my throat to deal with. Thanks for all the comments/advice. (feel as if I have used the '/' a little too much in this post )
