domejunky The Old Holborn 'dregs' = 'baccy:- When still smoking, I nipped over to Belgium & bought a suitcase full! 'Cos I had loads, the dusty 'bits' at the bottom of a pouch got 'decanted' into one pouch & I'd open another! Re. the Taifun GT:- yes! Have used mesh & currently use a bit of S/S rope with a bit of the ceramic 'cotton' from FT on top to seal the gap. My trusty 'out & about' tank......altho' using a 'Nano' tank on it 'cos.....well, with My NETs, I ain't gonna get thru' a standard tank without wick/coil 'fettling'!!!!

I use mesh in a Taifun style atty domejunky - I wrapped an unspaced coil (2.5mm, if I remember), cut the mesh tube to fit in it fairly tightly, then placed a little strip of silica across the top of the coil and mesh so it fills the top of the juice channel to prevent leaking ... it also helps with wicking. (I didn't think it would work, but it did, saw it on web somewhere!)

What I have n't tried yet, & theoretically, makes a lotta sense, is adding saline to the mix......... kreed wot % please?............ 1 drop per 10ml should do it...... but you can also try 4 per 30ml if that's not enough. I'm going to throw something else into the arena for you Most 'commercial' tobacco has been artificially flavoured before it gets to you. Rather than working with messy maceration techniques........ you could do what they do and use the correct flavourings. Unfortunately, this company doesn't ship outside the USA..... but the info may prove useful. www.seedman.com/flavor.htm

kreed Thanks for that! Sometimes (ie. if I remember!....) I stick 1drop/10ml. of cider vinegar to the mix, mainly 'cos I'm fighting the VG sweetness!... Looked at the seedmans flavourings before but not really for Me; I'd rather try & extract the flavour from a pipe 'baccy mixed by an expert, or just the straight single varietals. I've played with using cherry/vanilla/apple flavours (from UK Flavours) but found that the flavourings tended to fade as the 'baccy taste matured....which also happens if You macerate an aromatic tobacco......'shake & vape' these ones!!! Ain't got the mixing experience to blend a macerated real 'baccy with arti-flavours to good effect.....& don't wanna waste any NET!!!

I am following this with interest............ but I'll leave the sludgy, messy, brown-stained finger stuff to you until you've nailed it

4 days in to my experiment, no change in colour... That seems strange ... What tobacco are you using? I have 3 brews going, tobacco leaf, Holborn ryo and a pipe tobacco and all were taking good dark colour at 5days.

Auld Kendell. I went to a specialist tobbaconist and had a chat, and came away with this.

4 days in to my experiment, no change in colour... Is that Auld Kendall a readyrubbed flake? There should be some colour to the PG by now. Stir & mash it a bit. Other ways of getting it going are; a brief whizz in the microwave or decanting the PG & splashing a little vodka over the 'baccy, mashing up & pouring the PG back over.

I just checked again, and I was wrong. There is colour there. I was holding it up to the light, and it looks clear. But against a white background there's a very inviting brown colour...

Just to put in a word for Wholeleaftobaccoonly.com link try again link doing 5 x 20 g for £12.99 (Turkish sadly not avilable at the moment). The good old boys of whole leaf tobacco. Their aged Burley is really something.

Agree re. Their aged burley! They'll be some in My order when I get round to it. I'm vaping burley atm; tho' made from a pipe blending 'baccy which (surprisingly), is n't quite as good as the wholeleaf..... Their Havana was good too, but don't think that's currently available....

Couldn't resist. Only ten days - but i just made up 5ml of my Auld Kendel steep experiment. Mixed it at 30% - really nice vape! Totally surprised me.
Flavour doesn't punch you in the face, and it's an interesting study in just how sweet VG is. It will be good if it ends up stronger.

30% is what I use with My steeps. As You've found:- flavour is 'subtle' compared to concentrated flavourings.....& VG is very sweet! If You persevere with NETs; You'll prob. start reducing the amount of non-NET flavourings in Your other mixes...& cut the VG.....at least, that's what happened to Me!
