I am new to this as I already said, still on the look-a-likes just. Only because Tesco sell Nicolites and they have a life time warranty on batteries!how does that work 19.99 for a battery & charger & 2 cartomisers, with unlimited warranty.Yet if I buy a 510 battery (same fitting as nicolites) I am lucky to get 28 day warranty. Seriously thinking of a pass through or box mod and just getting good quality drip tips, but only because of the massive amount of reading I have done in the last 8-9 days, otherwise I would of "packed up packing up" after trying an E-Lite I love having a look at things in the real world, pick up and touch,so would love to see more brick & mortar shops (in the current climate it would take a brave investor). except for mods isn't most of the stuff we use all made in the same factories in China and shipped here? Shops like Wilkinsons and the like where they buy in bulk and sell cheap would be our best option as much as I like/prefer small independents it is a risk buying stock in bulk and renting premises, rates insurance and all the other stumbling blocks with regulations, the big stores could ride the risk better = less risk.

I am trying to put in perspective how much impact vaping enthusiasts like ourselves actually have in getting smokers to give ecigs a go - it is minimal, compared to what the impact the lookie-likey vendors and their cash have. Completely agree with that, you only have to look in the new members section, at how many people start on lookylikeys, then come here, as opposed to coming here first, to realise that's how most people start. I don't know anyone in real life (away from the forums) who vapes and didn't start on a ciggalike, in Derby it's VIP, they have the store (which has now become a vaping cafe ) in the main shopping centre (westfield,) and seem to have started most people around here off on Ecigs. I've even tried to switch people straight onto the Ego/rivas, and they are not interested in them at first, stating they look stupid, they then go through town, pass the store, and buy a ciggalike.

Lazydog, as Nicolite batteries are most likely only about 180mAh, then they will go flat very quickly. You'll only get a couple of hours of vaping out of them before they need recharging.

If you use it like a real cig and have between 10 to 15 drags when you would normally have a cig you get about 4 to eight hours depending on smoking habit i used to get about 5 hours on a 15 a day habit, if you use it for chain vaping then you get 20 minutes I got my dse901 out to test this about a fortnight back

That is a very good point Queenie that is missed by a lot of experienced vapers. A lot of smokers switch to vaping often believing that they will eventually stop altogether. They use the look-a-like as they would a real cig and they do get hours out of the battery. When I first started, I was of that ilk. It was only when I started enjoying vaping different flavours etc. that my use increased. I then got to the stage that Imy tooter never parted from my hand, so I needed something with a much better battery life. Some people never get to the 'enthusiast' phase and continue enjoying their look-a-likes Russell

I brought it up because up until about six weeks ago I still used mine when going to uni and just used it when all the others smokers went out for a cig with the occasional toot here and there then I would get home and pretty much chain vape on my riva ! Then the riva 650 mAh was only lasting a few hours so went to a 1100mAh which was perfect and now onto the LT ! at the end of the day people have different needs and the fact that we are not limited in the 'brands' of ecigs is great the variety of vendors/suppliers I think covers so many spectrums and for me I think that's why the ecig brand has worked for me ! I started vaping for a alternative which I am happy to explore and continue to try new mods out

I started on look a likes simply because a guy in the office had one, I tried it, had been wanting to quit, so got online and got a kit. My Ego thingy arrived yesterday, and I agree it's way way better, but I still filled up some carts for the look a like for the drive in and out, as it's much easier to drive with the automatic battery. So I plan to use that for driving, going out etc, and the Ego for office and home, which is 90% of the time anyway.
